Sacred Sites Update--Sampson State Park, White Deer

For those interested tours are starting November 16th to take you to see the  WHITE DEER at the old Seneca Army Depot in Romulus, NY close to Sampson NYS Park on Seneca Lake. For more information go to, Seneca White Deer, a not for profit. White deer flourished on the grounds of the  old Seneca Depot after it was closed and fenced in.

This is great news.

In the final edits of my review of Sampson State Park in Sacred Sites in North Star Country (Pages 278-281) I removed mention of the effort to save the deer because the Seneca Depot property was sold and there was no clear indication that the deer would be saved.

WSTM's Brett Hall did a great segment on the White Deer and the tours, White deer tours start at former army depot Nov. 16th.
