King Tides Say It Is Time To Pack It Up

NPR did a segment on king tides telling how water levels are rising on both the east and west coasts flooding coastal regions in Florida and California. King Tides refer to extremely high tides that create flooding. Recent flooding has been historic and it was extremely unusual to have flooding on both coasts at the same time.

While the article acknowledges the influence of climate change on rising water levels it talks about dealing with it by raising road levels and the like. Really? This is a major tell and warning sign that there is trouble ahead.

Rising sea levels  are accelerating and will overwhelm coastal area in the years ahead. Sweeping it under the rug is dangerous.

Three years ago I did a post on a report about ( Sea Rise Higher Than Expected--America's Gulf Coast and Southern Coasts Suffer ) coastal flooding accelerating. This will affect life and work, raising costs in coastal areas. It willl also begin to pollute fresh water estuaries with salt. Where will people get fresh water to drink in the years ahead?
