Solar Geoengineering--Another Wacky Concept to our Environmental Crisis by Dominating Mother Earth

We keep looking to science and technology to rescue us from our impending environmental crisis, when it was science and technology that created the crisis  Ecofeminist Carolyn Merchant noted this in her classic The Death of Nature. that also showed how the assault on Nature/Mother Earth was tied to the assault on women.

Merchant said, 

in investigating the roots our current environmental dilemma we must re-examine the formation of a world view and a science  that,  be reconceptualizing reality as a machine rather than.a living organism, sanctioned the domination of both Nature and women.

 In other words, our Mother is a machine that we can tinker with as we please.

The idea of dominating Nature goes against everything I have been talking about on this blog since I began in 2007. Domination, abuse, control and the like are not the ways we should approach our Mother; they also bring about a horrific karma that we have been dealing with.

A wonder, a magic, an Earth Magic is created when we love, give, act altruistically, and/or we work with our Mother. A Magic that creates wonders such as Energy Vortices. A magic that is fostered by love and cooperation.

Unfortunately, we still don't get it and continue to give the keys to our future to science and technology. They created this mess, yet many believe that they can pilot us out of it. 

One of the latest examples of our arrogance and belief that we can dominate and do with or Mother as we please, is Solar Geoengineering--creating a dark plume to blanket the Earth to block out the sun and prevent the Earth from heating up. The video below explains Solar Geoengineering.

Sacred Sites Update--Gobind Sadan, Hastings NY

I am sad to report that the vibe at Gobind Sadan (Hastings, NY) has deteriorated. Much of the land surrounding the temple has been clear-cut and harvested of trees--and continues to be. The two divine vortices that I mention in Sacred Sites in North Star Country: Places in Greater New York State (PA,OH,NJ,CT,MA,VT,ONT) That Changed the World located on the wooden deck are gone.

Clearcutting is a nasty violation of our Mother (Earth) and the vibe is reflecting this.

However, when I was there at the ceremony for remembrance of the burning of the temple in November last year I noticed that the hall where the ceremony took place had a neutral vibe. I attributed it to  electronics such as  cell phones. However, it is now apparent that the passing of the Sikh mystic Babaji Virus Singh, the founder of Gobind Sadan, combined with a new board of directors, has had its effect. Space is a reflection of it's owners, in this case members. So the decline began a while ago.

Hopefully, it may be that once the loggers depart that the love and divinity that are now being overwhelmed by the harvesting of trees may be able to reassert themselves. Let's hope WE will see.

Monarch Butterflys Placed on Endangered List

Migratory Monarch Butterflies were placed on the endangered species list today. Sad. See video below.

I have had several memorable experiences with Monarch Butterflies at Clarks Gully, or South Hill, in Naples NY. One Labor Day weekend years ago while climbing South Hill on the herd path along the gully I stopped at a clearing that once had a fallen tree for years. I saw what I thought were three large orbs in the distance. Upon closer inspection I realized that they were swarms of Monarch Butterflies. INCREDIBLE.

Swami Vivekananda's Cottage in the Thousand Islands to Open Friday,July 15, 2022

Swami Vivekananda's cottage in the Thousand Islands will open this Friday July 15, 2022 until August 5th. Hours will be 10AM to 12 Noon and 4PM to 6PM daily. Proof of vaccination and mask required.You are welcome to walk the grounds when the cottage is closed. It is only opened briefly in the summer and provides for a lovely day visit. The Thousands Islands is spectacularly beautiful.

Swami Vivekananda's cottage is a must visit for anyone interested in Hinduism and its Vedanta, yoga and meditation. It is also an  place to connect with our Mother and exeperience, and hopefully sense and feel Consciousness--that divine spark within us. This consciousness is found  in America's northeast and southern Ontario, Canada, what I call North Star Country. The area has inspired a host of initiatives--the Women's Movement, Birthplace of American Democracy, America's First and Second Great Awakenings, Spiritualism, Theosophy, the New Age Movement and much more.

My First Tomato

Yesterday I ate my first homegrown tomato of the season. This is the earliest fruit I have had since I was starting my own "special early plants" fifteen years ago. I believe that this early start has to do with the stone structures I created last fall to tap into Earth Energies. The tomato plants are located close to on those stone structures.

Amazing--But not Surprising.
