Sacred Sites Update-Gobind Sadan, Hastings, NY

This past weekend I did a follow-up visit to Gobind Sadan in Hastings, NY to my survey last August Sacred Sites Update--Gobind Sadan, Hastings NY. Unfortunately, nothing has changed--The once incredibly positive vibe is gone. Because of this I do not recommend visiting Gobind Sadan, a place I strongly advocated for in my book Sacred Sites in North Star Country: Places in Greater New York State (PA,OH,NJ,CT,MA,VT,ONT) That Changed the World.

A I noted in my last update much of the land has been clearcut-which has damaged the consciousness of the space. See picture below.

I believe a sacred space  "is all about the vibe," the interaction of human intentions/actions with Mother Earth. Positive loving actions lift up and improve a space, or an aspect of our Mother. Conversely, selfish or violent behavior harms a space and diminishes the influence of our Mother's Earth Energies and consciousness.

Clearcutting rapes the land and our Mother. It is a harmful and destructive force. It is a statement of how little you care about our Mother. It lessens and makes impotent aspects of our Mother, such as Her Earth Energies. It creates a bad vibe.

I had waited to see, if, hopefully, the affects of the assault (clear cutting) on our Mother at Gobind Sadan would have diminished over time. They have not and may even inicreased.

The Death of Energy Vortices.

An Energy Vortex is an incredible achievement and it marks the union of humankind and Mother Earth to co-create a new birth. It forms when we love give, heal, pray, meditate. It is a testament to the sacredness of a space. It is Earth Magic, A BLESSING, A GIFT.

Both of the Energy Vortices located on the site of the old temple have been snuffed out and are gone. In fact, the vibe where they were once located is no longer positive. It is still difficult for me to believe that such a turn of events could occur so rapidly, as it takes time and incredibly positive and loving intentions to form a positive Energy Vortex.

In the picture below the fence outlines the former temple. The chairs are located in the area of where an Energy Vortex once thrived.

The old temple was burned down in a hate crime in the immediate aftermath of 9-11. It is a remarkable story. While battling the blaze a fireman heard a voice tell him to immediately leave the second floor. Moments later it collapsed. I confirmed this story with a volunteer firemenan who worked with the fellow that was saved.

The sacred texts remained unscathed.

My friend Ralph Singh forgave the young adults that committed the crime and called for healing. He used this hateful incident  to bring the community together and teach. His kindness  and foregiveness was immortalized in the movie, North of 49.

Affiliations, People and More

A space is influenced by many things; its owners/members, the history of what transpired there, its affiliations and more. As I noted in my review last August I believe that other factors, besides clearcutting,  were also at work in diminishing the vibe. I said,

However, when I was there at the ceremony for remembrance     of the burning of the temple in November(2021) last year I noticed that the hall where the ceremony took place had a neutral vibe. I attributed it to  electronics such as  cell phones. However, it is now apparent that the passing of the Sikh mystic Babaji Virus Singh, the founder of Gobind Sadan, combined with a new board of directors, has had its effect. Space is a reflection of its owners, in this case members. So the decline began a while ago.

It can be hard to believe that the passing of spiritual leader and the diminished influence of his saint--like devotee and  a new board and change in intent/purpose could affect the vibe of a place-but it can.

Sadly, this notion of new leadership bringing about the decline may have an even greater influence, as I found the beginnings of what may metastasize into a negative Energy Vortex, in the area of the buildings. Because this area is located some distance from the clearcut area it means  other factors besides clearcutting were shaping the vibe. Note; a negative energy vortex is a destructive force that robs/drains you of energy and is harmful to your health and well-bing.

I told Ralph that I would gladly mark off the areas with Fields of Consciousness that should be treated with reverence, so that other areas could become hayfields.

I am sorry to report such bad news.

Earth Magic--Spirals, Geospirals, Blind Springs and more.

I continue to post on YouTube. Today's video was on Spirals.

Learn about the magical properties of a Spiral to draw water from the bowels of our Mother (Earth) and create a Blind Spring--a spring of nutritious fresh water; provide healing Earth Energies and more. A Spiral, also called a Geosspiral, speaks to the transformative power of our ability to co-create incredible wonders with our Mother when we love, give, heal, act altruistically and live in harmony with our highest purpose. They are a GIFT, A BLESSING.

Energy Vortices Video

I continue to post YouTube videos about my geomancy and Earth Healing work. The latest video is about Energy Vortices, which was the topic of a book I wrote. They are the most magical of things. You can access the video by clicking on the link below.

Impact of climate Change on the Different Regions of the USA

Moodys Analytics came out with a report on how climate change is going to affect various regions of the US, The Impact of Climate Change on U.S. Subnational Economies. They issued the report because they believe climate change will increasingly affect business and governmental decision-making.

Not surprisingly they found that coastal cities (rising seas levels) and the south (heat ) will suffer the most. The overall findings were,

-Exposure to acute and chronic physical risk and the risk associated with a transition from fossil fuels are the foundation of regional climate change forecasts and have a critical role along the coasts.

-Early policy action generally causes less economic pain, but it and the late adoption of climate mitigation strategies put energy-producing regions in the most economic peril.

-Absent policy changes, large coastal states like California, Florida and New York are especially vulnerable, while more inland northern economies will emerge only slightly worse off, with a handful of small metro areas possibly benefiting slightly.

-House prices face crosscurrents, as demographics and insurance costs drive prices lower in more vulnerable areas, but supply destruction will put some upward pressure on prices.

Much of this echoes what has been written on this blog for several years. I do believe the northeast and upper Mideastt/west are going to experience a large influx of climate migrants.

Earth Magic at the Ramapo Walls

I went back to the Ramapo Walls last Friday for a survey. I was last there in 2019, here is my post Ramapo Walls and Stone Mounds at Harriman Park, NYS--Part I Overview.

Below is a YouTube video of my survey last Friday.

I brought along my hiking buddy Bill, whom I went hiking with at Harriman park almost every weekend after my divorce in the late nineties.

We had some excitement. My concern about visiting Harriman, particularly  the southern and southeastern ends is that there are lots of rattlesnakes there; which both of us have encountered. Because of this I kept my dog Jaeda Bear tethered close to me on a short four foot leash.

Shortly after we got there I spent time shooting a video on a Manitou Stone with a seat and Bill went exploring. While I was shooting I heard a loud thud and saw Jaeda Bear was excited. I looked over and saw a black Bear, probably a yearling, had fallen off a large log.

I realized we had to hightail it out of there so I began blowing my whistle and shouting "Bear..Bear.." But Bill kept meandering about. Fortunately my whistling and shouting "Bear" scared the bear. When I finally connected with Bill, he told me he thought I was calling Jaeda Bear when I yelled "Bear, Bear..." one of her nicknames.

We were lucky. What a hoot. I wish I had more  forsight and kept shooting and captured the bear on a video.

Survey--Delaware Counties' Stone Columns and more Part IV. Conclusion

Although there were no Energy Vortices, or a great vibe, clear signs of the sacredness of an  area, there was a bit of enchantment to the place. I kept leaving my staff behind as I moved about, forcing me to return to the previous area. Some would call this a memory issue, which it may well be; I took it as a bit of mischievous fun at my expense.

I was also directed to check out a stone formation as I tripped over it. Again, this may seem benign, but my experience has taught me to focus on such events. I remember finding Ley Lines by having my legs buckle when I walked over a charged one long before I was able to dowse them out with my dowsing rods.

The formation was three stones close to each other, forming a triangle of sorts.

They marked three Energy Lines. They were reminiscent of the three large stones marking Ley Lines (Spirit Lines) at High Tor in the Keepers Area Triangle of Stones & Mounds at South Hill (Hi Tor DEC Forest) in the Keepers Area

Particular Stone Structures, A Particular People

This is the fourth place I have found stone columns at, covering an area stretching from Chenango/Delaware County to the Hudson River:

Stone Structures--Hudson Valley/ Catskills Part 4 Stone Piles/Columns

Melondy Hill State Forest (SE Chenango County, NY), Part 3 Stone Columns

Ludlow Creek NYS DEC Forest, Chenango County, NY Survey, Part 1

People talk about an unknown ancient civilization, or one not recognized by archaeologists, that populated the Earth a long time ago. Others speak of an ancient seafaring people that built megaliths around the world.

There is also the theory of diffusion that postulates ancient people past along information and knowledge on their travels, possibly a seafaring people.

I don't know who constructed the stone columns, ancient culture or seafaring people. I do believe that a group of people, or one Earth Worker was responsible for the stone columns. It also speak to regionalism on how one person /group chooses to align stones to a particular formation compared to others,

There is also another element that adds a bit of mysterey to the stone columns--yellow orbs. Two of the four surveys with stone columns saw the appearance of a mysterious yellow orb in the pictures I took.

Return To Melondy and the Appearance of Another Yellow Orb

interesting.

Certainly someone had a penchant for stone conks, versus boulders, or large platform stones that are about one to two feet high and about  three of four feet in with and length, or a sunken are, or...

Survey--Delaware Counties' Stone Columns and more Part III The Stone Columns

I counted close to fifty stone columns; and I imagine I did not see all of them. There were two types of stone columns; the short ones and the tall ones. I am not sure whether the shorter ones were intentionally made shorter, or had their tops lopped off later.

The one good thing about the shorter stone columns was that they had a bit of a positive vibe, albeit weak, and limited to a few stone piles. If you are at all familiar with my work you know that I believe positive human intention enhances everything and makes it better. It's all about the vibe.

I imagine the shorter stone columns were able to retain a bit of their vibe because they blended into their surroundings--they were not eye candy, which attracts curiosity seekers, archaeological types, etc.--and not necessarily Indigenous people with their positive intentions, who would treat them in a sacred manner and perform ceremonies around them.

I did work to raise the vibe of several of the stone columns. Prayed around a few, and undertook other actions.

Several of the short stone columns were aligned with Manitou Stones, or other short stone columns.

I found two series of tall stone columns--both of which were aligned over an Energy Line. l mention this because I read some comments some place that people believed them to have been part of a fence, or even aligned to a star, or some astrological event. They clearly were intentionally located over an Energy Line.

The two series of stone columns provided a spectacular image to behold. I imagine before they fell to modernity and curiosity seekers it would have been electrifying to be near them. SAD. Still, I got pretty jacked up.

Above, the shorter alignment of six to eight stone columns was in good, but not great shape. Still, it was a sight to behold.

The other alignment (below) consisted of twenty-five to thirty tall stone columns in good, to very good, shape.

I imagine there are many more stone columns in the area. It was a hot day in the eighties with a bright sun. I stopped my survey.
