Busy Season, Ancient Ruins Reveal Something Special

 Friends,

With the leaves falling and frost killing the ground cover, my busy season of scouring the land looking for stone structures has begun and will not end until early May. I am writing asking for suggestions,  places I should investigate on public grounds in the northeast that contain stone structures. Please post a picture and location and if I decide to investigate I will invite you along. I can dowse the picture to determine if it merits study.

It does not have to be pristine or an extravagant location with lots of stone structures. Rather the simplest, the dilapidated, barely noticeable places that often contain the most remarkable things such as Earth Magic in the form of Energy Vortices, Blind Springs… Below is a  a video of a survey I did with Peter Shell this past week. It shows what is posible. While the place had some large stone structures most of it had been  buried with Earth over the eons. But it contained an Energy Vortex, Blind Spring and even a Thin Veil that brought a remarkable encounter with the Other Side.

Sacred Sites Update--Onondaga Lake, Peacemaker's Sanctuary

 I went to the Peacemaker's Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake today for some Keeper's Work--physical cleaning, spiritual cleaning and enhancing. I was surprised to find that parts of the area had soggy soil.

The good news was that the vibe  was still incredible--very positive to extremely positive. This is important because a positive vibe enhances the aspects of our Mother (Earth) found there, such Fields of Consciousness; Meaning it makes them much more potent.

The Energy Vortices were still intact. There are 4 Energies Vortexes located on the grounds; as well as numerous Blind Springs and Geospirals (the equivalent of Energy Vortex, only it is in the Earth below). SWEET!

People wax poetic about Energy Vortices, get excited about them, travel long distances to places like Sedona, Arizona to experience them. Well, we have 4 of them at the Peacemaker's Sanctuary. I know of no public area that has so many Energy Vortices in a confined space.

The area behind the far bench had been flatten earlier this year. I had thought it was rising water, but today I saw tire tracks and a passerby said that the county had drove over the area about a month ago.

If you want to experience an Energy Vortex, or a Geospiral, this is one of the best places to do so. It is also a great place to go if you need answers to a questions, want to go deep into trance during meditation, have a profound mystical experience,.... the powerful imprints found there will facilitate such experiences. The 4 Energy Vortices located here, are a testament to the power of the imprints, or land memories left behind by spiritual pilgrims that have visited.

Swami Vivekananda's cottage in the Thousand Islands IS OPEN. It is a must visit for anyone interested in Hinduism and its vedanta, yoga and meditation. It is only opened briefly in the summer. It provides for a lovely day visit. The Thousands Islands is spectacularly beautiful.

Swami Vivekananda's Cottage in the Thousand Islands Park on Wellesley Island in the Thousand Islands will  be open until July 27th this year. The cottage itself will be open those days from 10AM to 12 Noon and from 4PM to 6PM. You can certainly walk the grounds when the cottage is not open.  The worrisome thing is that it seems that the visit time is being reduced each year. Years ago they used to have a lovely satsang--chanting and singing followed by a group meditation.

The room upstairs where the Swami stayed while he was there for 8 weeks in 1895 (he lectured and taught on Vedanta) has a powerful vortex; one that put me instantly in the balcony a few years ago. Very, very strong. You definitely need to meditate in the room--the vortex is located in the center of the room.

The house and the immediate area rests on Fields of Consciousness. There is another vortex in the rocks behind the house. Meditating on the rocks in front of, or behind the house would be a good thing to do.

Make sure to visit the rock/tree in the back (it is a short 5 minute walk) where Swami Vivekananda achieved the highest state of Samadhi. It said that on his last day August 7, 1895 at the Thousand Islands the Swami went into the back woods to meditate and froze solid in meditation and remained oblivious to torrential rain and is said to have achieved nirvikalpa Samadhi. (Page 104)

“He had a unique experience of inner freedom at the Thousand Islands Park which he expressed eloquently in his poem “The Song of Sannyasin”. He wrote from there to a friend:

“I am free, my bonds are cut, what do I care whether this body goes or does not go? I have a truth to teach—I am a child of God. And He that gave me truth will send me fellow workers from the earth’s bravest and best.” Page 105-106

The tree has since died, but a new one has been planted and a memorial erected. It is a short walk to the back.

Sacred Sties Update--Peacemaker's Sanctuary Onondaga Lake

Yesterday when I visited the Peacemaker's Sanctuary I found that a tree had fallen near one of the benches. It could also be a tree that was along paved trail that I saw at my last visit and someone dragged it down to the lake.

I had not visited since May. I also noticed that Yellow Flag, what most know as a form of yellow Iris had taken root in several locations. While yellow flag is pretty when it blooms many consider it to be an invasive species.

Given all the rain I expected that much of the area would be soggy. Fortunately only the area of the far bench was a little wet.

Keeper's Work

I had come to the Peacemaker's Sanctuary to do Keeper's work--the physical and spiritual maintenance of the sacred site.  I cut back the reeds and picked up some garbage. I also dragged the fallen, or washed up tree(?), into the woods.

As for the spiritual work I fortified the energy vortices on both benches. (To learn  about Energy Vortices read my article in Wisdom Magazine or my book Vortices and Spirals.)

As for the closest bench I had to move it back to where it had been before to align up the energy vortices. Energy vortices attach to objects and locations. So when the vortex formed it attached to both the bench and to the location where the bench first was.  So by moving the bench I was aligning up the energy vortex on the bench with the one on the ground.

Because the first bench sees more traffic it had totally dissipated. I was able to revive it. 

Why had it dissipated?

Energy vortices form in response to human intention(love, compassions, altruism, giving, etc..) are are affected by the consciousness that they come in contact with. They merge with it.

The first bench sees more traffic and because many are not on a spiritual path the vortex diminishes when it merges with such consciousness. Also the thinking and activities occurring there are not always of the highest good. Again that consciousness merges with that of the energy vortex, often to the detriment to the energy vortex. As I have taught and written about on several occasions,  consciousness merges with the consciousness it comes in contact with; most notably in my book Everything Has Karma. 

The vortex on the second bench was still intact, albeit weaker. It was much more easily revived. 

Looking at the picture above it seems like our friend Mr. Beaver has gnawed down a few more trees by the far bench. Notice the tree stumps with pencil sharpened like tops.

While it may seem that by continually having to clean and spiritually uplift a space I am like Sisyphus pushing a boulder up a mountain to have it roll down once I get it to the top. Such is a Keeper's work. Understand also that those visiting, especially if they sit on the benches will be enveloped by an energy vortex. And while they may diminish its vibe and deplete the energy vortex they will be the better for it because their consciousness will be raised by the consciousness of the energy vortex when they merge with it. The vortices will not only raise their consciousness but MAY give them insights, have them find resolution or healing, give them joy and much more. What a blessing it is to be able to do this.

The Holiest of Holy Places

Onondaga Lake where the great Haudenosaunee prophet the Peacemaker planted the Tree of Peace and gave us the Great Law Peace upon which America's democracy is based upon is the holiest of holiest places. As I noted in Sacred Sites it has the most potent Fields of Consciousness. Much of we hold dear--democracy, Women's Rights,..trace their roots to Onondaga Lake and its environs.

The Peacemaker's Sanctuary is a place where people have found answers to questions, have gotten great insights, had their prayers answered and much more. Find time this summer to visit this sacred place and soak up all the love it holds. I will endeavor to maintain the vibrancy of the energy vortices. VISIT AND EXPERIENCE THE BEST OUR MOTHER HAS TO OFFER.

Ramapo Walls and Stone Mounds at Harriman Park, NYS--Part V The Sacred and Profane

Unfortunately the luster and spiritual energy that once must have permeated these sacred grounds at the Ramapo Walls is long gone.The vibe, the reading of the imprints of the intentions left behind, was neutral at best. Sad.

An old hunter's tree stand by a stone mound. Hunting was prohibited decades ago within Harriman.

We found a hunter's stand next to one of the stone mounds. We also found shot shells, beer cans and other debris. We did pick up a few shot shells. Hunting casts a pall over sacred sites. Again ask yourself if you would want someone sitting in your place of worship or a chair in your living room thinking about killing for hours on end?

So revelers, hunters and curiosity seekers have desecrated this once holy site.

But that is not all as I said in the intro. Lenik in his write-up of the Ramapo Walls writes,

In 1969, the North Jersey Highlands Historical Society, in cooperation with the New England Antiquities Research Association, began investigating the "Supposed Prehistoric Walls" in Ramapo, New York. This site is a massive complex of stone walls that meander over some 200 acres of ground along a hilltop overlooking the villages of Sloatsburg and Ramapo. Some sixteen massive stone mounds, basically conical in section and circular in diameter, are within the network of walls....
In 1973, archeological excavations were undertaken at the Prehistoric Walls site in an attempt to learn its temporal and cultural placement as well as its function. Three features were excavated at the site, namely, the suspected well, the stone fireplace, and a section of one stone mound. These features seemed to offer the best possibility of definitive material being found.
The stone filled depression, or suspected well, was excavated first. This feature is located along the eastern edge of the site, 100 ft. off the old road and 40 ft. east of the stone wall. The area was carefully cleared of surface leaves and brush and a 10 ft. by 10 ft. square was laid out around the depression. Excavation proceeded with great care and the soil was removed by trowel and sifted. All stones encountered were left exactly in place as found with the exception of a few which appeared to have tumbled into the center of the depression.

Wow!

I understand that people want to investigate and learn; but at what expense?

Again ask yourself if you would want someone coming to your place of worship, sacred and holy ground, and begin digging up the pews and tearing up your sacred texts and testing them with chemicals to better understand why you built them?

This sort of  voyeurism is bad for the vibe and goes contra to the love and positive intentions that once blanketed this holy area. It destroys what makes a sacred site holy and sacred.

NEARA prides itself on protecting and preserving stone structures in greater New England. But doing an archaeological dig of a sacred site without knowledge of its function and purpose is not going to assure proper reconstruction.

As noted previously stone structures can be very intricate in design. In the picture above a manitou stone is located behind Pepper.  I am concerned that the stone structures dissembled by  the North Jersey Highlands Historical Society and NEARA were not properly reconstituted.

NEARA does have many dowsers amongst its membership but science and traditional archaeology drive much of its decision making. No doubt they do good work in preserving the physical structures at a sacred place. But what of the spiritual component? How can science come to understand sacred space and Indigenous People that loved Mother Earth and worked to create stone structures to enhance Her?

They cannot!

A sacred site needs love, prayer, ceremony and good intentions. The makes its vibe well. Science is an anathema to spirituality. 

And if you have read my work before you know that I believe that it is all about the vibe. The stone structures are often mere ornaments that adorn a powerful sacred sites. I expect that certainly was the case at the  hay day of the Ramapo Walls.

Archaeologists, hunters, revelers, groups like NEARA, ghost hunters through their intent and actions not only destroy the vibe of a sacred area but its ultimate purpose; a mystical experience, a union with Great Spirit/God, an answer to a difficult question or the chance for a vision or great insight.

We did find a remnant that the Ramapo Walls was once treated as a sacred area with prayers, ceremony and contemplation.

There was a water dome still located on the grounds. When we pray, meditate, do ceremony and act in a sacred manner we may draw water to a location Yes just as we attract energy/prana above ground we attract water underground.  A water dome is water that has attempted to well up from the bowels of the earth and has reached an impediment and cannot go any further. So water pushing up on the earth begins to form a dome, a mushroom shaped structure that fills with water. Water veins eventually form on the side of the dome.

Because the only co-creation with Mother Earth that we found was one water dome I had many questions. I know energy vortices can come and go; but what about water domes? Were there many more water domes in this large sacred area? Do water domes dissipate slower than Energy Vortices, or do they never disappear once formed? These are only a few of the questions I posed and discussed with a few seasoned water dowsers.

We did say some prayers, spread tobacco and did a ceremony. Unfortunately because we were in hurry we could not meditate and spend the time in spiritual activities the way we do in places closer to home in Syracuse.

There is more reason to believe that the Ramapo Walls and its surrounding area was a sacred place as I will discuss in the next section.

Ramapo Walls and Stone Mounds at Harriman Park, NYS--Part VI Sacred Ground

There was a lot of stone work hidden in plain view in the area surrounding the Ramapo Walls at the southern of Harriman Park. Because of this it is safe to assume that  much of the surrounding area was once treated as a sacred area and revered.

We found many loosely constructed stone circles over aspects of Mother Earth in the area surrounding the Ramapo Walls. Pepper and Jaeda Bear are pictured in one such structure. Very similar to what I found on Estelle Weeds property in New Paltz, NY last June (See Survey of Sacred Sites in Downstate NY, PART VII--Estelle Weed's Woods and its Many Stone Structures) and in other places as well.

There were a ton of Manitou Stones in the area.

We also found lots of charged areas where the vibe was still very positive another indication that the Ramapo Walls were once a sacred area. It also made us wonder what the vibe at the Ramapo Walls must have once been and whether it was littered with Energy Vortices, a Thin Veil and more. All co-creations with our Mother indicating that the area was once treated as being sacred.

I am overwhelmed with joy when I find an Energy Vortex, or what I call a Natural Vortex in the woods. Vortices. Meditating in an Energy Vortex  allows us to transcend time (see my video Transcending Time with an Energy Vortex) and connect with the spirit and consciousness of its creators.

As always on day trips where we have to drive great distances we are limited by time. We hope to go back to the Ramapo Walls and explore, learn and appreciate particularly the surrounding area. Perhaps we may be blessed to find an Energy Vortex to meditate in.

It was a good day and a great trip.

We thank Mother Earth and God for showing us the Ramapo walls. We also thank those who created them many millennia ago and charged the grounds by saturating them with love, ceremony, prayer and meditation.

Co-creating with Mother Earth/Sacred Sites Update--A Vortex has formed at the Peacemaker's Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake

Another Energy Vortex, or what I call a Natural Vortex has formed on the original bench in the Peacemaker's Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake. It is the first bench that you see when you enter the area. 

A Natural Vortex is a co-creation with Mother Earth and a very positive sign in

the continual spiritual evolution and improvement of the Peacemaker's Sanctuary. A Natural Vortex responds to positive human intention--love, compassion, healing, altruism, prayer, ceremony.....

Meditating, praying or other positive acts are significantly improved when done within a vortex so I encourage you to visit and tap into its wonder and bounty.

Above is a picture of the bench. The Energy Vortex is located on the right side of the bench in the picture above and envelopes most of the bench. So sit on the right side, or Seneca River side.

I image that theEnergy Vortex formed during our Summer Solstice area as we ramped up the vibe. Originally a vortex had formed on the right hand side behind the bench; where the chair is in the previous picture.

Co-creating with Mother Earth/Sacred Sites Update--A Vortex has formed at Bliss, in Gossamer Wood

One of the more amazing experiences to observe as a geomancer and dowser is to watch the development of co-creations with Mother Earth such as Energy Vortices, Water Domes. etc...I say this because  an Energy  Vortex has formed in the first stone circle in the area we call Bliss at Gossamer Wood.

This is a joyous experience and part of the wonder of Gossamer Wood. What is going on at Gossamer provides you a unique window to watch Mother Earth and the input we (humankind) have upon Her first hand. For people interested in dowsing, geomancy, Earth Healing, Mother Earth this is an amazing opportunity. It is a tremendous school. 

So much love has been applied by the Earth Healers and Keepers involved with Gossamer Wood that all sorts of wonders are beginning to pop up. The overall vibe has improved a lot as well.

As geomancer it brings me great joy and holds me in awe. So much wonder. Amazing. Thanks Mother Earth.

Gossamer Wood--Reporters visit, New Stone Circles ---Sacred Sites Update

Bill Dewey, Janice Carr and I (Madis Senner) gave Mike Murphy of the Canandaigua Daily Messenger a tour of Gossamer Wood today ahead of our Open House this Saturday.

It's a Boy, No a Girl, No it's a Vortex Ring

Congrats to everyone that has worked on, fussed about, or meditated in the new Welcome Circle. A Vortex ring, a precursor to an Energy Vortex, or what I call a Natural Vortex has formed. A Vortex Ring is the final stage before a full blown Energy Vortex forms. Janice, Donna C. and I first built the Welcome Circle in November of 2016, Since then Bill, Donna L., Kareen, Jamie, John and Brooke have worked to spruce it up. Janice has spent a few hours meditating in it. One of our goals was to have a Natural Vortex form in it.

 I placed a circled of stones around the Vortex Ring to help nurse along and hasten the formation of an Energy Vortex.

 Kudo's to the Gossamer Keepers and Earth Healers. Thanks. This is what it is all about co-creating a new birth with our Mother.

 Bill has worked hard to clear the Spirit Keepers Circle. Since it is so huge and even though there are numerous meditative flat stones on the ground within it  I thought it would be nice to add a stone circle in the Spirit Keepers Circle.

A little elbow grease--clearing, meditating--has revealed a few larger flat stones in the ground in the Spirit Keepers' Circle..  Were these natural, or were they placed there thousands of years ago and earth has accumulated around them covering them up.

Spirit Keepers Energy Vortex Update--I first found this vortex in November of 2016 and it has a diameter of about 3-4 feet. Today it is easily 10 feet in diameter and is very potent. Look for the pink tape and a large stone between 2 trees within the Spirit Keeper's Circle.

Sacred Site Update--Gossamer Wood

Several of us gathered at Gossamer Wood in Canandaigua, NY for Earth Healing and cleaning up and opening up the space this July 4th Wednesday. We are looking to raise money to buy it and turn it into a sacred preserve for all to enjoy. 

Since Bill Dewey sold his house in January we have had to put in new trails,  refashion older ones and heal the ones damaged by the weather. We have also made a big effort to clean, expand and make the property more friendly and accessible for pilgrims. Much of this year will be spent to make the grounds more accessible--AND OF COURSE JACK UP THE ALREADY INCREDIBLE VIBE.

Wednesday was incredibly hot in the mid 90⚬'s I found some amazing things, from more energy vortices, sacred stones, more powerful features of Mother Earth...... I guess I should not be surprised...but more and more is being revealed.

Spirit Keeper's stone. Here I am standing next to a sacred stone, in front of me to the right--covered with moss. Looking at it seems like no big deal, however it marks the high point in a Field of Consciousness--an unbelievable Stacked 12 (S12.) An S12 is when 12 FOC's are placed upon each other; the highest formation and rare. 

Because of its placement strategically over the high point in the FOC one has to assume that it was intentionally placed there and whoever created it knew what they were doing.  I believe it was created by a mystical group very intimate with Mother Earth's subtle body that I call Spirit Keepers. Amazing. This was an incredible find and adds to the other S12 at Gossamer and has it moving closer to being in the rarified company of Onondaga Lake and its sacred space.

 I found a vortex ring close to the sacred stone on the S12 and decided to create a stone circle around it to act as a splint and nurse it back to health. (I discuss vortex rings on pages 52-56 of Vortices and Spirals.) A water vein also begins in this area. Another indication that prayer, meditation, ritual, healing and good and loving thoughts/acts occurred here. Thanks to the great souls that did this, we hope that we can honor your spirit by adding to it.

 Another Spirit Keepers stone. This one marks a S8. Another find--the stone and the FOC. There were also several Manitou Stones and other sacred stones in the area. That whole area  close to the creek is loaded with all sorts of wonders.

In the spirit and knowledge of the Spirit Keepers I marked the high point of all the FOC with large flat stones. It is my experience that they would at a minimum mark the high points with a stone, or stone mound; they would also place other stones in the area. I plan on adding more stones to this sacred area, hopefully several hundred more over the next few years.

We could use more meditators. If all you want to do is meditate for hours on end in such sacred space, please comment below and leave your contact information which I will take down after I contact you.

PS. People have been meditating in the energy vortex, what I call a natural vortex,  in the Spirit Keeper's Stone Circle and it has gotten even stronger. Kareen, Bill and I could feel it 10-15 feet away as we approached it. WOW!

Survey of Sacred Sites in Downstate NY, PART V--The Church in the Woods

Later we went exploring and walked quite some distance. I should say that Bill Pollard was the lead on this. It was Bill's intrepid  nature that led me to the Whangtown Stone Chamber to see a large stone mound/wall with hollowed a out center. Bill certainly has a good sense for things.

As soon as we got to the space Bill said,

"IT FEELS LIKE CHURCH"

WOW. It certainly did.

It had an incredible vibe.

It was a simple set of very thick (4-6 feet) stone walls.

Somehow this little enclave had remained hidden for ages. I say this because the intricate stone work marking Earth Energies is knowledge   that has been lost for millennia.

It survived because there was nothing ostentatious, or ornate about it to attract the curious; Just a place of reverence for Mother Earth and  a lot of spiritual sweat from prayers and  ceremonies. Ghost Hunters, UFO buffs, archaeologists, curiosity seekers are often drawn to spectacular displays, or where weird things have happened--not to places like this. There is no eye candy, nothing spooky no massive stones or anything similar. Just an overwhelming sense of the sacred and wonder that envelopes you when you are there.

Over the years I have developed a Theory for this, and have posted about it. I call it the Ostentatious, Extravagant, Gaudy or Donald Trump Theory of Sacred Sites. Not because of Donald Trump's political views but for his taste for ornate and gaudy things such as gold toilet seats, jewels, etc.... I developed this theory long ago, well before his politics and Apprentice TV show having  lived in NYC for more than 2 decades.

It may be hard to believe such places still exist. That is because we are so disconnected from Mother Earth.

Clearly whoever built this wonderful enclave was knowledge of our Mother and Earth Energies. Above is a Manitou Stone with my staffs marking the intersection of Energy Lines.

Not only was the vibe very positive to extremely positive but an Energy Vortex was there. Energy Vortices, or what I call Natural Vortices form where good things happen, or where people pray, meditate or do ritual. A water vein had also formed in response to the sacred activities that took place in the Church in the Woods, which is marked by my staffs.

WOW. An Energy Vortex thousands of years old was able to survive. As you know I am a big believer that you can Transcend Time  and connect with the spirit of those that constructed the Energy Vortex by meditating in it; as I noted in the beginning of my book Vortices and Spirals and in YouTube videos. Unfortunately, I had to leave to go give an overview of my talk for the next day at the Dowsers Convention in New Paltz. Bummer. But I did show Bill where it was and marked it for him so that he could come back and meditate in it.

We basked in the space and said some prayers. I wanted to meditate but had to leave for a prior engagement.

Was I Right To Tell People About This Place?

I did much soul searching and discussion with folks about whether to publicly post about the Church in the Woods fearing that it would be desecrated by curiosity seekers, ghost hunters, UFO hunters, archaeologists and that ilk who through their activities and intentions desecrate sacred space and harm our Mother. However, I also realize that if I am preaching about the wonders of Mother Earth and the co-creative power of humankind to work with Her to uplift and create new births such as Energy Vortices, or to uplift/heal space, then I need to provide examples. And boy is this a wonderful example! A shining demonstration of how humankind working with Mother Earth can enhance a space and raise its vibe.
