Melondy Hill State Forest (SE Chenango County, NY), Part 2 The Zig Zag Stone Mound

Most of the land at Melondy Hill NYS DEC State Forest (Chenango County, NY) has a neutral or a slightly negative vibe. There were some places with a very negtive vibe and a few with a very positive vibe.

The one place with a sweet vibe was a location with an interesting stone structure; sort of a low rising stone wall that twisted and turned  at right angles. A stone wall that you might be scratching your head to figure out what its purpose was. Possibly a pen for animals?

Well.

There was no decision regarding whether it was used for spiritual purpose. As soon as got close to it, I was zapped with a powerful Earth Energy. One that sent me into the balcony almost immediately. Impressive.

Here is a pic of the structure.

Although difficult to see, if you look hard on the left  you can see the stone wall turns right.  It definitely marks an alignment of Mother Earth. But of what.?

Ten to twelve years years ago I was blessed to be shown a similar formation at a very sacred site. It may be the same type, or maybe slightly different. I still don't understand what their purpose and functions are. I will go back and look at my notebooks from that period to try and figure it out.

More importantly the vibe was very positive and because of this a synergy was created that jacked up the power of the structure. Underscoring what I have said many times on this blog---IT'S ALL ABOUT THE VIBE.

When we love, give, heal, act altruistically, pray, meditate we can uplift a space and in the process magnify the affects of an aspect of Mother Earth found there. This is what happened at the location pictured above.

Why has this stone structure not suffered the fate of other locations?

Its modesty. There is nothing outrageous or extravagant about it.

Years ago I developed the Ostentatious Theory of Sacred Sites--that opulent, extravagant, massive, elaborate sacred structures attract an element that might not necessarily be in keeping with the sacred nature and intent of the structure. People into  things (material objects), thrill seekers and the like will be drawn to it. That intention  and focus will begin to attach to the structure and surrounding space. The efficacy of the OSTENTATIOUS THEORY OF SACRED SITES will become ever more apparent in the next section Part 3 Stone Columns.

Again its all about the vibe. The power and presence of this nondescript, plain, simple and unassuming stone structure was its vibe. A vibe it has been able to retain because it is not eye candy that attracts curiosity and thrill seekers. It's all about what is in your heart and not in physical things.

Melondy Hill State Forest (SE Chenango County, NY), Part 3 Stone Columns

It took me almost two hours to get to the tall stone columns. Not knowing my way, stopping to photograph Manitou Stones, having to constantly zig and zag to walk around objects such as downed trees increased my time walking. It was well worth it.

There were well over a dozen stone mounds in the shape of a column in varying states of condition: from excellent to poor.

All of the stone mounds marked the intersection of numerous Energy Lines. A nest. I call the intersection of numerous Energy Lines, Ley Lines or any other linear line of Mother Earth a Nest. When you get a Nest of converging lines you often get other Nests nearby because there are so many lines converging in an area. That is the case here. Multiple nests close to each other.

Given so many Nests people decided to mark them by making stone columns.

I imagine that this was a very holy and sacred area at one time. That had numerous pilgrims coming to pray, to do ceremony or coming for healings.

Unfortunately, the vibe that once must have been very powerful was now gone. I found shot gun shells and a magazine with a stone upon which a hunter sat on. Hunting has a very detrimental affect upon a space--the thought of killing, even a four legged is very negative and stands in sharp contrast to the love and sacredness of the original intent of visiting pilgrims.

The eye candy visual appeal of the stone column attracts curiosity seekers, thrill seekers and others. This intent of curiosity contrasts with the sacred intent of the space. This intent merges with the original intent and diminishes it. Again diminishing the vibe.

As I noted in Part 2. People into  things (material objects), thrill seekers and the like will be drawn to large and intricate stone structures. That intention  and focus will begin to attach to the structure and surrounding space. In the process the vibe will begin to diminish. That is why  I came up with my OSTENTATIOUS THEORY OF SACRED SITES; that having an elaborate of visually appealing stone structure attracts an element that diminishes its vibe.

Again you need a positive vibe to enhance a space and the aspects of Mother Earth found there.

Unfortunately a Treasure hunter or amateur archaeologist decided to rip apart one of the stone  mounds to  investigate it, and/or hoping to loot it of any treasure. In the picture below Jaeda Bear is lying in the depressed/dimpled center of what was once a stone column. I imagine that the stones surrounding the sunken center were part of the stone column.

It was another great day connecting with our Mother and learning from and appreciating the work of the Earth Healers and Telluric People that constructed these stone columns. Thank you.

I also have a hunch that these stone columns are a makeover of what was there originally. That what was there originally had decayed and someone decided to reconstruct them by building over them. I have seen this at Stonewall Jackson State Park West Virginia ( Part III Stonewall/Ohiopyle Survey--The Earthen Mound  and at Long Branch Park at Onondaga Lake Park in Syracuse New York (The (Hopewell Adena?) Mounds at Onondaga Lake ). It's only a hunch.

It was a great trip. If I go back it would be to look for an energy vortex to meditate in,  or explore more. Evidently there was a spring close to stone columns, a very promising sign.

Ramapo Walls and Stone Mounds at Harriman Park, NYS--Part VI Sacred Ground

There was a lot of stone work hidden in plain view in the area surrounding the Ramapo Walls at the southern of Harriman Park. Because of this it is safe to assume that  much of the surrounding area was once treated as a sacred area and revered.

We found many loosely constructed stone circles over aspects of Mother Earth in the area surrounding the Ramapo Walls. Pepper and Jaeda Bear are pictured in one such structure. Very similar to what I found on Estelle Weeds property in New Paltz, NY last June (See Survey of Sacred Sites in Downstate NY, PART VII--Estelle Weed's Woods and its Many Stone Structures) and in other places as well.

There were a ton of Manitou Stones in the area.

We also found lots of charged areas where the vibe was still very positive another indication that the Ramapo Walls were once a sacred area. It also made us wonder what the vibe at the Ramapo Walls must have once been and whether it was littered with Energy Vortices, a Thin Veil and more. All co-creations with our Mother indicating that the area was once treated as being sacred.

I am overwhelmed with joy when I find an Energy Vortex, or what I call a Natural Vortex in the woods. Vortices. Meditating in an Energy Vortex  allows us to transcend time (see my video Transcending Time with an Energy Vortex) and connect with the spirit and consciousness of its creators.

As always on day trips where we have to drive great distances we are limited by time. We hope to go back to the Ramapo Walls and explore, learn and appreciate particularly the surrounding area. Perhaps we may be blessed to find an Energy Vortex to meditate in.

It was a good day and a great trip.

We thank Mother Earth and God for showing us the Ramapo walls. We also thank those who created them many millennia ago and charged the grounds by saturating them with love, ceremony, prayer and meditation.

Gossamer Wood Open House Was Awesome

Today's open house at Gossamer Wood was a huge success.  The write up in the Canandaigua Daily Messenger drew a lot people.  While not everyone was into Earth Energies, many were. It was a lovely gathering of many kindred spirits that love Mother Earth. If you have never been to a gathering of lovers of Mother Earth you should, as it is an incredible spiritual and loving event.

The morning began with a prayer, ceremony and beating of the drum in the Welcome Circle

We set up a greeting area with tent near the opening.

Kareen greeted people, collected donations, signed up people for our sign up sheet and handed out information literature.  While Bill and I gave people guided tours of the property.

Warm, friendly and hospitable.

Later after everyone was gone Peter and I walked the grounds. I was helping Peter with his ability to dowse for vibe; determine whether a space is positive, or negative. And then gauging  its relative positiveness, or negativeness. Critical work.

As we were leaving Peter suggested we should check out the Greeting Area. Wow. What an incredible vibe, very positive. Peter was spot on, much more positive than anything around it.

Kareen gets an A+ for the love and warmth she greeted people with. And people we receptive and psyched to walk the grounds and it showed. thanks Kareen.

The vibe for all of Gossamer Wood is humming. The love and passion everyone--Bill, Donna L, Kareen, John, Jamie, Janice, Peter, Tim, Brooke, Donna C, Mark....and others have applied in their endeavors has palpably enhanced the space. Amazing. Everyone visiting today added to that love.

You have probably heard of someone knitting shawl and praying ceaselessly while they did so. Or holding a prayer stone and praying for a loved one or someone in need for hours on end. Imagine if many people worked on a space they loved with passion and fervor and great joy no matter what they were doing. THAT'S GOSSAMER.

AND YOU CAN EXPERIENCE THAT LOVE FOR YOURSELF BY VISITING.

 Parking was at a premium at times.

Later we went exploring and walked quite some distance. I should say that Bill Pollard was the lead on this. It was Bill's intrepid  nature that led me to the Whangtown Stone Chamber to see a large stone mound/wall with hollowed a out center. Bill certainly has a good sense for things.

As soon as we got to the space Bill said,

"IT FEELS LIKE CHURCH"

WOW. It certainly did.

It had an incredible vibe.

It was a simple set of very thick (4-6 feet) stone walls.

Somehow this little enclave had remained hidden for ages. I say this because the intricate stone work marking Earth Energies is knowledge   that has been lost for millennia.

It survived because there was nothing ostentatious, or ornate about it to attract the curious; Just a place of reverence for Mother Earth and  a lot of spiritual sweat from prayers and  ceremonies. Ghost Hunters, UFO buffs, archaeologists, curiosity seekers are often drawn to spectacular displays, or where weird things have happened--not to places like this. There is no eye candy, nothing spooky no massive stones or anything similar. Just an overwhelming sense of the sacred and wonder that envelopes you when you are there.

Over the years I have developed a Theory for this, and have posted about it. I call it the Ostentatious, Extravagant, Gaudy or Donald Trump Theory of Sacred Sites. Not because of Donald Trump's political views but for his taste for ornate and gaudy things such as gold toilet seats, jewels, etc.... I developed this theory long ago, well before his politics and Apprentice TV show having  lived in NYC for more than 2 decades.

It may be hard to believe such places still exist. That is because we are so disconnected from Mother Earth.

Clearly whoever built this wonderful enclave was knowledge of our Mother and Earth Energies. Above is a Manitou Stone with my staffs marking the intersection of Energy Lines.

Not only was the vibe very positive to extremely positive but an Energy Vortex was there. Energy Vortices, or what I call Natural Vortices form where good things happen, or where people pray, meditate or do ritual. A water vein had also formed in response to the sacred activities that took place in the Church in the Woods, which is marked by my staffs.

WOW. An Energy Vortex thousands of years old was able to survive. As you know I am a big believer that you can Transcend Time  and connect with the spirit of those that constructed the Energy Vortex by meditating in it; as I noted in the beginning of my book Vortices and Spirals and in YouTube videos. Unfortunately, I had to leave to go give an overview of my talk for the next day at the Dowsers Convention in New Paltz. Bummer. But I did show Bill where it was and marked it for him so that he could come back and meditate in it.

We basked in the space and said some prayers. I wanted to meditate but had to leave for a prior engagement.

Was I Right To Tell People About This Place?

I did much soul searching and discussion with folks about whether to publicly post about the Church in the Woods fearing that it would be desecrated by curiosity seekers, ghost hunters, UFO hunters, archaeologists and that ilk who through their activities and intentions desecrate sacred space and harm our Mother. However, I also realize that if I am preaching about the wonders of Mother Earth and the co-creative power of humankind to work with Her to uplift and create new births such as Energy Vortices, or to uplift/heal space, then I need to provide examples. And boy is this a wonderful example! A shining demonstration of how humankind working with Mother Earth can enhance a space and raise its vibe.

Praise and thanks to all the great souls that created this wonderful space. I am honored and thankful for your gift. Blessings to you. May I and others add to the love and spirit you have nourished there. Thanks.

If you visit  this,  or some other sacred site, spend some time meditating there, bring an offering, say a prayer. Give it some LOVE!

Survey of Sacred Sites in Downstate NY, PART VI-- The Blue Orb (Observer) at The Church in the Woods

Whoever constructed the Church in the Woods knew about Mother Earth's Unseen Body and looked to work with Her, or enhance Her. There was also a mysterious guest there during our visit.

An elaborate effort was undertaken to mark an Energy Line.

 A line of stones have been placed on an Energy Line that is marked by my staffs. Notice the wall in the back.

Notice the triangular shaped hole in the stone wall that aligns with the Energy Line. Basically, someone decided to get fancy and give further emphasis to the Energy Line by creating a hole in the shape of a triangle to show where the Energy Line was.

Given the powerful Earth Energies and very positive vibe you would expect to see orbs in pictures

In the upper right hand side of the picture above there appears to be a white orb.

But there was another orb that Bill captured with his camera. A blue orb that does not appear to be a function of Earth Energies.

Bill took a picture of me while I was marking the Energy Line with my staffs. Notice a blue orb in the upper right hand side of the picture.

Here is a closeup where I cropped the picture.

WOW. That does not look like any orb that I have seen before. The rings make it look like a planet. It is definitely something from another realm. Amazing.

When Bill sent me the picture with the blue orb I sent it out to a few others to get their opinions. Fellow Earth Healer Janice Carr said it looked to be some sort of observer or watcher.

Here is what PMH Atwater had to say. PMH is a pioneer in the Near Death Experience world and is well respected for her insights.

"It has guardian energy in and around it, yet this form is quite alive and thinking.  It is taking in all that you are and what you want and what you’re doing. . . like an “I-Spy” entity.  You must have some Watchers around that it is feeding info to. I’ve seen these forms before when in Watcher territory."

She went on to say that they are all about business (observation) and report their findings to someone, but she does not know who.

We said a group prayer and headed back. I was pressed to get back to New Paltz to speak.

As I noted in the previous post I wished I would have had time to meditate. It is critical that you pray, meditate or do ceremony at such sacred sites to nourish them and keep them vibrant.

Again, I had concerns that writing about this place would attract curiosity seekers, ghost hunters, UFO hunters, or archaeologists whose activities and intentions damage sacred space and our Mother. But ultimately I need to show people what is possible when love, pray, giving, healing... occur at a sacred site.


My trip continued Saturday morning at Estelle Weed's woods behind her home. While there was no Church in the Woods there, I found  some great stone work and places with a positive, to very positive vibe. It just shows that people once had great reverence for Mother Earth and many places have weathered the millennia well.

Part I Stonewall/Ohiopyle Survey--Stonewall Jackson State Park West Virginia

Last week I took a trip to see and survey the stone mounds at Stonewall Jackson State Park in West Virginia and Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania. It was part of my ongoing research effort for upcoming my book Early Woodland (Adena and Middlesex) Ceremonial Sites, due out in 2019. 

My interest about these places was piqued a few months back when I read an article THE CONTINUING "STONE MOUND PROBLEM": IDENTIFYING AND INTERPRETING THE AMBIGUOUS ROCK PILES OF THE UPPER OHIO VALLEY. It told of the noble effort to get the stone mounds on Bear Knob in West Virginia on the National Register of Historic Places. Within it was a mention of Ohiopyle State Park as well as Stonewall Jackson State Park. It was the picture of a stone mound at Ohiopyle in the article, which I saw a few days ago, that piqued my interest.

I got a call that I could see the mounds this past Tuesday so I jumped at the chance. But before going there I was to stop at Stonewall Jackson State Park.

Stonewall has several trails dedicated to stone mounds. One of them is named the Cairns Trails.

Kudo's to the state of West Virginia for preserving the stone cairns and building trails for people to see and experience them. Well Done! 

The Cairns Trail

Let me begin by saying that there is more to the Cairns Trail that meets the eye. Specifically, the vibe is positive to very positive in the area of the stone mounds.  Anyone familiar with my work is well aware how much credence and importance I place on the vibe, or imprints, or memories left at a place. They are a barometer that a location was used for sacred purposes. More importantly we have a potential to create a new birth with Mother Earth--an energy vortex, a water dome...---EARTH MAGIC!

Secondly, much of the mountainside that the Cairns Trail (areas C, D &E in the map below, in the upper center area) traverses is covered with stones marking energy formations such as Energy Lines. There are hundreds of such stones. All of this means that Stonewall is special and much of what was once there has been preserved. As a geomancer being able to dowse is critical to finding such stone formations and understanding what is going on. L-rods are an invaluable tool.

Right after entering the trail I came across this stone marking the intersection of 2 Energy Lines. You are facing downhill and the front of the stone has an upright shape to it.

Part II Stonewall/Ohiopyle Survey--Stonewall's Carrion Run West Cairn Fields

Part IV Stonewall Ohiopyle Survey--Ohiopyle State Park

March 20, 2018 the first day of spring and I ran into a blizzard. I left just south of  Morgantown, WVA with heavy rain. By the time I got to Ohiopyle Sate Park in southwestern PA snow was forming and beginning to stick, especially as I climbed in altitude. 

There were two primary areas I looked at. Both very nice and impressive.

The first was a grouping of mounds. The majority of the mounds were stone piles with no particular form or structures. A  few were located on Earth Chakras and had hallowed out centers which were more than 2 feet deep. They were in incredible shape and the pictures do not do them justice. Arguably they were more cylindrical in shape than a stone mound, or rock pile.

Although the snow limited my ability to see it was clear that much detailed was applied to the stone mounds. In the picture above my staffs mark a manitou stone marking the intersection of 2 Energy Lines.

Part V Stonewall/Ohiopyle Survey--Ohiopyle State Park

Sacred Sites Update--High Tor's The Ledges, A Thin Veil, A Powerful Spot Found

Wow. Last week in our continuing effort to catalogue the stone structures at the Ledges (pages 304-308 of Sacred Sites in North Star Country) we came upon a particularly powerful place on the far end of the upper Ledge. A place where people must have prayed, done cermony and vision quested with great intensity for centuries. A place that has fortunately maintained its spiritual integrity over the millennia.

It is an open doorway to altered states of consciousness, other realities, a place to get great insights, have visions, have mystical and hallucinogenic experiences....Some would say it has a thin veil, others might call it a portal, others might just feel it has a great vibe. I still don't know what to make of it.

The Area of the Thin Veil.  There are 5 staffs marking the 5 stone mounds in the area. Janice Carr is in the front holding one staff. Behind her to the right is a staff by itself and I am in the distance holding another. Behind her to the right next to the trees is a staff by itself, marking another stone mound. Photographer, Peter Shell, is holding a staff marking another stone mound. There are three energy vortices marked by the black dog(Jaeda Bear), white dog(Pepper) and the white paper/orange cushion. There are several other  mounds close by going the other way.

The three energy vortices are a testament to the power of the place and that spiritual activities took place there. Sensations for the three of us ranged  from feeling very charged to being in another place/dimension while there. One assumes that this place was intentionally created to have pilgrims experience altered states of consciousness. It certainly is conducive to pilgrims having visions or hallucinogenic experiences. I cannot imagine what it was like in its peak.

What is notable is that, while being in the space certainly enlightens/charges you up, those sensation do not linger as profoundly as with other aspects of Mother Earth. It seems that when you enter the space after some time you go into an altered state of consciousness, but once you step out things are significantly reduced.

What you experience can vary. You may feel little, or nothing at at all. You may just feel an energy burst. Or you have a profound mystical experience....What you feel depends upon your connection to Mother Earth, your spiritual acumen.....

It can take some time before you experience, or feel, the affects of the space. So give it some time before it works its magic.

What is It? 

There appears to be something more of Mother Earth there besides Earth Chakras. Some other aspect of Her subtle body. I did find something. But....I think that the real power of the place rests in the imprints left there by visiting pilgrims from their spiritual practices over thousands of years. The three natural vortices (energy vortices) tell you that serious spiritual activities took place there and certainly add to the feeling of the place.

A thin veil? Certainly the veil to higher realities, certainly exists there. Traditionally I have found them to be very small pockets--nothing of this size.

I wonder if we have discovered some other new co-creation beyond natural vortices (energy vortices) with Mother Earth? Something on the next rung of the ladder in our co-creating with Mother Earth. As I  noted in my dedication of Vortices and Spirals and in other writings when you, "Love, give, heal, do unto others, practice ahimsa, pray, meditate and Mother Earth may bless you with a vortex." So a natural vortex is one of the first rungs on the ladder of co-creation with Mother Earth, have we just discovered the next rung up?

I have no idea. This is only one of the questions I have been asking myself since. I certainly feel blessed to have this spot revealed to us.

Powerful Imprints

As I noted in my intro to High Tor in Sacred Sites in North Star Country,

“Imagine if you could go back in time 2,000, or even 3,000 years, or more, to when the mound builders inhabited much of the Eastern United States. Imagine if you could visit one of their sacred sites and feel the charged atmosphere of their spiritual practices as you sat next to one of their mounds. Can you feel the chills running up and down your spine as you cry for a vision and tap into the collective consciousness of the thousands that have been here centuries before you? Feel their thoughts, as they help elevate your consciousness, bring you closer to the Great Spirit, open up lines of communication to other worlds, and give you visions while healing you.”  Page (292-293)

This is probably one of the best places to have such an experience.

If You Visit

A map of High Tor is located on page 298 of Sacred Sites in North Star Country. Directions to the Ledges is on page 305.

Make sure to spend some time in the Welcome Circle as noted on Page 306 of Sacred Sites in North Star Country. This is critical, otherwise you may diminish the vibe; and it is the vibe, and not the all the stone structures that are what makes the Ledges so precious.

Smudge yourself, say a prayer, meditate for a while in the Welcome Circle.

Bring a small offering, a flower...Spread some tobacco. It's not so much what you bring, as it is that you show reverence and respect.

Act in a Sacred Manner while there--Keep your thoughts positive, focus on the divine.....Do not bring your cell phone or other electronic devices harmful to our Mother. Limit your picture taking, or balance them with a prayer.

If you have to go to the bathroom do so far from the holy area.

Make sure you can drive after you leave. Bring some food, preferably root vegetables to ground you if necessary. Generally people maintain mental acuity. Just make sure if is safe for you to drive.

This is an incredible find. I share this with you because I want you to be able to experience it as well. It is a gift to us from the pilgrims that have visited before. A gift for you to experience. A gift that you can share with others that will follow by acting in a sacred manner when visiting and praying and meditating while you are there.

Remember it's all about the Vibe

Whangtown Stone Chambers-- Part II (of VII) Proof that the Stone Chamber is Sacred

Anyone that appreciates stone chambers will tell you that many of them are sacred. However, are there other barometers we can use to determine whether the Whangtown Stone Chamber was once used for spiritual, or sacred purposes?

There are certainly tools to gauge the sacredness of a place.

Water Vein. There is a water vein running down the center of  the chamber as the picture below shows.

It is only recently that I have begun dowsing for water at sacred areas. but am fairly confident that there is a water vein bisecting the chamber and running outside. The direction of water flow within the vein is going away from the stone chamber. Bill tells me that the chamber can be wet and that water runs into it, not out of it. But we are talking about a water line below the surface.

What I forgot to do while I was there was to check where the water vein began. A subsequent map dowsing of the picture tells me that the water line begins at the end of the chamber.

My impression is that water domes, or what they call blind springs form in response to prayer/meditation/ceremonty and not water lines. A water dome is water that attempts to bubble to the surface of the earth from below in response to good deeds/thoughts and stops below it reaches the surface and forms a dome. Water veins break from the side of the dome and may rise to the surface as a holy spring. While I feel confident about the water line, I would not be surprised if I was wrong.

All said and done water domes are a very positive sign and indicative the positive, or spiritual activities took place above at some point in time.

The staffs mark the water line inside the stone chamber. It appears that the water line is shallow and begins at the end of the chamber.

 The Vibe As I always say its all about the vibe. As I noted in Vortices and Spirals a positive vibe is an indication that good things, or spiritual activities took place at a location. We leave imprints of our thoughts and deeds wherever we go. These imprints have a morality to them, which a geomancer can gauge. A spiritual fingerprint of sorts.

The problem with using the vibe is that what once was a sacred place has been subsequently desecrated. Unfortunately as I noted in Part I the Whangtown mound has subsequently become a place frequently by the curious and thrill seekers. Archaeologists may have done digs there. And most certainly all sorts of innuendo from Celtic explorers, to UFO's, to a haunted place. All this sours the vibe and turns it negative.

You need to act in a sacred manner when visiting a sacred sites. Keep your thoughts and actions positive while there. Fortunately Bill tells me he has been there to experience several winter solstices; and the search of the web shows he is not alone. This helps reinvigorate and counter the negativity.

Pepper is sitting on a large stone slab about 30 feet in front of the Whangtown Stone Chamber.

The vibe was positive, to maybe slightly positive within the stone chamber.  Most space is neutral at best.

As another guage I looked at locations at the periphery of the sacred stone chamber. The back of the chamber, an area probably less frequented by people, had a slightly positive vibe. Whereas the stone in the picture above had a positive vibe. These areas less frequented by people tell me that the stone chamber was used for spiritual, or healing purposes.

Archeoastronomy. Bill tells me that the chamber opening aligns with the winter solstice; an indication that it was used for holy purposes. Archeoastronomy examines how people in the past looked at the sky and how they created stone and other structures to experience such.

I am not an archeoastronomer, but take Bill at his word. This does not necessarily mean that the purpose of the stone chamber was to solely experience the solstice. There are other things at work there which I shall write about subsequently that give even stronger indications of the spiritual nature of the stone chamber.

Conclusion. These three indicators give weight to the belief that the stone chamber was used for spiritual purposes. As I just noted above there are other things at work that I will write about subsequently that will give further credence to the sacred nature of the main stone chamber at Whangtown.

Ledges Mound #7-A, Actually 0 Manitou Stone

A video of Ledges Area Survey, Stone Mound #0, has been posted on YouTube. We are in the process of cataloguing the stone structures at the Ledges Area of High Tor. 

Because the Ledges Area contains numerous Earth Chakras, and the bulk of stone mounds are located over Earth Chakras you might wish to first see a short video I put together a few years back on Earth Chakras.

This video looks at stone mound #0 that is in fair condition. It is mound # 0 because on our initial overview, which we did 2 times, we missed this stone mound close to the Welcome Circle Area. I mention this because the Ledges Area is so busy and this video underscores the challenges of surveying a very busy sacred place that has lots of features of Mother Earth. There is
