Return To Melondy and the Appearance of Another Yellow Orb

Freaky. Almost a year to the day when I first photographed a yellow orb (Rare Photo of a Yellow Orb ) in one of my pictures while doing a survey of the Hudson Valley (Stone Structures--Hudson Valley/ Catskills Part 1 Overview) I catch another one.

Rare indeed to photograph a yellow orb..

A Big Coincidence?

I went back to Melondy Hill Thursday as a follow-up to my visit a week ago (Melondy Hill State Forest (SE Chenango County, NY), Part 1 Manitou Stones) to try and find a large triangular stone mound 15 long and 8 feet high that Don Windsor Chenango county historian talked about in his manual on stone mounds in Chenango County in NY.

I walked all around the general area that he referred to and did not see a large stone mound. I did find huge flat top boulders, which I assumed was the bedrock he referred to in his write-up.

Several of these stone slabs had Manitou Stones on them, or near them as in the photo below.

I had just photographed a Manitou Stone on top of one of these large boulders and went to investigate below the stone slab and found lots of loose stone stones surrounding the slab wondering if they were stones from a stone structure that may have fallen npart?    

The picture below shows lots of stacked stone, or a fractured section of the slab, below a hemlock tree.

It also shows a yellow orb on the upper left side of the picture.

The next shot I took at a different angle with my camera turned shows the yellow orb in almost the same exact location. Demonstrating it was not something on my camera lens that created the yellow orb.

In my post about the yellow orb last year I noted that many view yellow orbs as a sign, or omen, of caution or to be cautious. I now wonder if the appearance of the yellow orb was because of something else--perhaps another connection to me, or to the fact that both areas have columned stone structures.

German philosopher Max Weber said that we have become "disenchanted" with Nature and no longer see its Magic because of the "dis-godding" of Nature (all is God).

Seeing a yellow orb says that enchantment is still there if we believe and look hard enough.

Rare Photo of a Yellow Orb

On a survey of a sacred sites Stone Structures--Hudson Valley/ Catskills Part 1 Overview in early November last year I captured a rare yellow orb in two of my pictures. I say rare because there really aren't many pictures of yellow orbs on the net.

There were however a plethora of opinions about the significance of seeing a yellow. The general opinion was that yellow orbs are a sign of warning and caution. But cautious about what?

I assumed that it was about me taking it easy and not pushing things. I also wondered whether it was warning about protecting the sacred site fellow geomancer Janice Carr and I were surveying; to stay mum about its location to avoid the onslaught of thrill seekers, UFO oligists, ghost hunters and their ilk that could overrun this holy area and ruin it. So I decided not to reveal the name or exact location of the sacred area where I photographed the yellow orb and only refer to it as a general area in my post  Stone Structures--Hudson Valley/ Catskills Part 1 Overview

Survey of Sacred Sites in Downstate NY, PART VI-- The Blue Orb (Observer) at The Church in the Woods

Whoever constructed the Church in the Woods knew about Mother Earth's Unseen Body and looked to work with Her, or enhance Her. There was also a mysterious guest there during our visit.

An elaborate effort was undertaken to mark an Energy Line.

 A line of stones have been placed on an Energy Line that is marked by my staffs. Notice the wall in the back.

Notice the triangular shaped hole in the stone wall that aligns with the Energy Line. Basically, someone decided to get fancy and give further emphasis to the Energy Line by creating a hole in the shape of a triangle to show where the Energy Line was.

Given the powerful Earth Energies and very positive vibe you would expect to see orbs in pictures

In the upper right hand side of the picture above there appears to be a white orb.

But there was another orb that Bill captured with his camera. A blue orb that does not appear to be a function of Earth Energies.

Bill took a picture of me while I was marking the Energy Line with my staffs. Notice a blue orb in the upper right hand side of the picture.

Here is a closeup where I cropped the picture.

WOW. That does not look like any orb that I have seen before. The rings make it look like a planet. It is definitely something from another realm. Amazing.

When Bill sent me the picture with the blue orb I sent it out to a few others to get their opinions. Fellow Earth Healer Janice Carr said it looked to be some sort of observer or watcher.

Here is what PMH Atwater had to say. PMH is a pioneer in the Near Death Experience world and is well respected for her insights.

"It has guardian energy in and around it, yet this form is quite alive and thinking.  It is taking in all that you are and what you want and what you’re doing. . . like an “I-Spy” entity.  You must have some Watchers around that it is feeding info to. I’ve seen these forms before when in Watcher territory."

She went on to say that they are all about business (observation) and report their findings to someone, but she does not know who.

We said a group prayer and headed back. I was pressed to get back to New Paltz to speak.

As I noted in the previous post I wished I would have had time to meditate. It is critical that you pray, meditate or do ceremony at such sacred sites to nourish them and keep them vibrant.

Again, I had concerns that writing about this place would attract curiosity seekers, ghost hunters, UFO hunters, or archaeologists whose activities and intentions damage sacred space and our Mother. But ultimately I need to show people what is possible when love, pray, giving, healing... occur at a sacred site.


My trip continued Saturday morning at Estelle Weed's woods behind her home. While there was no Church in the Woods there, I found  some great stone work and places with a positive, to very positive vibe. It just shows that people once had great reverence for Mother Earth and many places have weathered the millennia well.

Another Pixie or Faery in Peter Shell's Pictures from the Ledges Area?

This past summer photographer Peter Shell helped me catalogue the many stone structures at the Ledges Area of High Tor NYS DEC Forest. While we were scouring Peter's pictures for an article for Ancient America he came across the following picture.

What is it? A pixie, fairy, or just an aberration?

In Peter's picture above (stone mound #13) on the upper left hand side next to a sapling you can see a white burst in the shape of a dragon fly with large wings. On the lower right hand side in the stone mound you see another bright light in the shape of the circle.

Many of Peter's photos and mine as well had orbs in them. Which I attribute to earth energies most of the time. The one bright light in the shape of a dragonfly with large wings makes we wonder whether Peter had captured a Nature Spirit; a pixie, or fairy. A rare feat. Bravo Peter.

Stone Mound #19

What is even more interesting about this picture is that this is not the first time I and Peter captured a similar form at another stone mound #19. See below.

This new find by Peter raises a whole host of questions, such as;

• If these are pixies, or fairies were they with us for our survey the whole time? Does that mean that we were only able to capture them a few times?
• At both mounds them bright lights came in distinct pairs; is that a couple, or how they travel?
• Who or what are they? The fact that we captured two distinct images at two different stone mounds means that they are something beyond earth energies.
• Other?

High Tor Update

High Tor is an incredible place, most notably the Ledges Area. When Peter and I were at the Ledges for our last shoot I found that a Vortex Ring, a precursor to the formation of an Energy Vortex, is trying to form in the Welcome Circle. You can see a picture of a group meditation we had there this summer at, Sacred Sites Update--High Tor's Ledges, Our Survey Continues

The NYS DEC is opening up a public comment period for High Tor's future use. We would like to get extra protections put on the stone mounds, such as registering them in National Register of Historic Places. You will hear more about this as we are researching whether this can even be done. We will be creating an informative website and will post about this when we do.

I finally found the four tiered mound at High Tor with an energy vortex and more. It snowed before I could go back and meditate in it.

High Tor is such a mystical place with powerful imprints that can well up all sorts of mystical experiences.

Orbs, Prana and Energy Healing

I have posted about orbs on this blog on several occasions. Recently I was reading Barbara Brennan's Hands of Light, a Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field  and came upon her description of the flow of energy in the ether.  Hands of Light was early on in the surge of  Energy Healing, innovative and still worth a read 30 years later. Brennan started a school for Energy Healing and is a respected Energy Healer.

Brennan's description of the flow of energy sounds very similar to what many people describe as being an orb. In her section "Exercise to "See" the Universal Life-Energy Fields", she Brennan says,

The easiest way to begin to observe the universal energy field is to simply relax on your back in the grass on a nice sunny day and gaze at the blue sky. After some time you will begin to see tiny globules of of organ making squiggly patterns against the blue sky. They seem to be tiny white balls, sometimes with a black spot, that appear for a second or two, leave a slight trail mark, and then disappear again. When you continue this observation and expand your vision, you will begin to see the whole filed pulsate in a synchronized rhythm. On sunny days these balls of energy will be bright and move fast. (Hands of Light, pages 37-38)

Orgone is a term developed by Wilhelm Reich a protege of Freud, to describe prana, chi and energy in the ether.

When we see, or photograph orbs chances are that they are globules of white light, prana/chi/orgone, that Brennan describes. Rarely, if we are lucky, we may see/photograph a Nature Spirit, or being in another world. I believe Peter Shell and I did so in a picture in a previous post, The Elementals probably Fairies of Some Sort are observing our Survey of the Ledges

A few weeks back I posted  Tiny Faeries, Elementals--What are They? asking what were the bright lights in my picture I had taken of mound #19 during our survey of the Ledges area of High Tor. They sure seemed to be elementals of some sorts, most likely faeries. The brightness of the images were undeniable. The post showed a sequence of pictures taken before and after to demonstrate it was not a speck on my lens.

Then today I got a picture from fellow surveyor and official photographer Peter Shell of mound #19 he took with his camera at around the same time. It provides an even clearer picture of what to be Faeries in the same area. Different cameras capturing images around the same time capturing the same images is pretty powerful proof.

Tiny Faeries, Elementals--What are They?

I was going through my pictures of our shoot of the Ledges Area of High Tor for a video when I ran across the picture below of mound #19. On the left side you can see two brilliant white objects.

I am used to having orbs in my pictures in highly charged areas with powerful aspects of Mother Earth. But the objects seem to be something else. If so what? A tiny Faery or some sort of other elemental?

The one on the bottom left looks like a faery with wings (cross shaped); Perhaps the one above could be the same thing only viewed farther away.

Peter felt that the objects are not a function of the camera and noted that what is so distinctive about the orbs/elementals is the brilliance of their white light. He pointed out how the background light from the sun in the upper left  of the picture and on the right side pales in comparison to  the sparking brilliance of the objects. He felt that the they are probably some sort of elemental.

Compare the picture above with the orbs in the picture below of mound #12. It clearly shows how bright the images in the first picture are.

I had originally posted about mound number 19 on June 30,  Back to the Ledges at High Tor--What Stone Work. The picture below is mound #19 marked with staffs outlining the stone work. See the picture below.

To better appreciate the white images I have included the sequence of the pictures I took and show that it was not the camera. I shot this sequence of photos quickly and shows how rapidly the white light images came and left.

Again I often find pictures of orbs in power spots, especially after people have been praying, or meditating there. This is something different. I must add that I think that it is incredibly difficult to photograph an elemental, or nature spirit. I also wonder if they were there because of the powerful energies found at the Ledges; in other words is that what attracted them?

Utica's Old Main Orbs

In preparing for my talk to Oneida Historical Society in Utica on Saturday I noticed orbs and a mysterious light in my photographs. They are pictures of the former Utica Psychiatric, belovedly   known as Old Main. It was one of the first mental health institutions to employ a "moral treatment" approach  by compassionately treating the mentally ill. At the time the mentally ill were locked up and de facto had the key thrown away. 

While Utica Psych has gotten flak for its notorious "Utica Crib", a restraining device. It clearly embodied a strong intent to help and even heal people--patients had their own newspaper, could work outside because it was believed outdoor work helped cure......

Interesting that I never noticed the orbs before. But it clearly appears that there is something on the right side of the pictures.



The picture above shows a vertical red light. It appears to be in front of the trees, maybe even close to the dogs. I took this picture before the others.

 In the picture above you can see a large ball of light area by Old Main to the right of the trees. It appears to be an orb.

The picture above was taken seconds after the previous pic. The ball of light (orb) seems to be descending.  On second look the orbs have a red tinge to them, like the first picture of a red vertical light.

Does the sequence of pictures show a red ball of energy expand as it moves towards Old Main and then disintegrate?

The dogs are lying in the center of a large Field of Consciousness(FOC.) And while FOC emit Consciousness they also emit Energy/electromagnetic energy.

Skidmore's Orbs

With the American Society of Dowser's Convention set to return to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY this summer I thought it would be nice to set up a temporary stone circle over the Fields of Consciousness. To better describe the location(Broadway Entrance) I went to google earth. To my surprise one of the pictures contained two large orbs

Because the forms are similar in shape in both picture and the locations are different, it raises the suspicion that it is something on the lens is responsible for the orbs. Or the orb(s) are not energy formations, but something ethereal, an energy ball, or a sprit.

The Fields of Consciousness are located just north of the Broadway Entrance. In the picture below is from June of 2016 after my talk when we went there to meditate.

Triangle of Stones & Mounds at South Hill (Hi Tor DEC Forest) in the Keepers Area

The Keepers Area of South Hill of Hi Tor State Forest has lots of stone structures, most are mounds located on aspects of Mother Earth's subtle body such as Earth Chakras, Ley Lines and other features in the Energy Plane. There are Fields of Consciousness.

One interesting feature is a triangle of large stones, shown below. 

I have been in the Keepers area dozens of times over the last ten years and never paid much attention to it, even though the stones are large. We all wondered whether there was something to it.

There was. The three stone mounds mark three Ley Lines, or put differently they are connected by three Ley Lines. The black lines in the photo below show the Ley Lines.

Perhaps there is something else to the formation, or that it serves some other purpose. Was it designed to have  people sit in the triangle? 

I point this out to say that what appears trivial, or insignificant may have a higher purpose. We have become so disconnected from Mother Earth that we fail to see Her as ancient cultures did and much is lost to us--even those looking for stone structures.
