Positive and Negative

Human intention can have a powerful effect on our Mother, stone structures and more. They can either enhance Her, or diminish, or even harm, Her. I call the the thoughts we have, the actions we perform, at a particular location  Imprints, or Land Memories. You know them as the vibe at a particular location.

Imprints are a reflection of intention--were they loving, giving or healing intentions? Or were they they violent and selfish thoughts and actions. It is crazy and hard to believe that the morality of our intentions determines how they influence our Mother, or stone structures--but they do.

In the video below I explain the difference between positive and negative Imprints.

Connecting to Lost Loved Ones

CBS Sunday Morning had a lovely segment on telephones around the world that are not connected to any network, but offer the hope to heal and grieve for a lost one. This is a brilliant idea to help people deal with a lost loved one. It also taps into an ancient practice of using a particular space to heal. Over time if people perform the same action, or have the same thought at the same place it makes that thought/action stronger at the location. As the imprint gets stronger it helps those that subsequentlycome  to heal or find resolution.

The premise of the Peacemaker's Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake is to use imprints to heal, gain insights, to achieve higher states of consciousness....While these are different thoughts, they are focused thoughts. A visiting pilgrims taps into or adds to a particular thought/actions when they have a particular thought/action.

Part I Stonewall/Ohiopyle Survey--Stonewall Jackson State Park West Virginia

Last week I took a trip to see and survey the stone mounds at Stonewall Jackson State Park in West Virginia and Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania. It was part of my ongoing research effort for upcoming my book Early Woodland (Adena and Middlesex) Ceremonial Sites, due out in 2019.

My interest about these places was piqued a few months back when I read an article THE CONTINUING "STONE MOUND PROBLEM": IDENTIFYING AND INTERPRETING THE AMBIGUOUS ROCK PILES OF THE UPPER OHIO VALLEY. It told of the noble effort to get the stone mounds on Bear Knob in West Virginia on the National Register of Historic Places. Within it was a mention of Ohiopyle State Park as well as Stonewall Jackson State Park. It was the picture of a stone mound at Ohiopyle in the article, which I saw a few days ago, that piqued my interest.

I got a call that I could see the mounds this past Tuesday so I jumped at the chance. But before going there I was to stop at Stonewall Jackson State Park.

Stonewall Jackson State Park, West Virginia

Stonewall has several trails dedicated to stone mounds. One of them is named the Cairns Trails.

Here is a press release on the cairns trail, New Cairns Trail Links Past with Present at Stonewall Resort.

Kudo's to the state of West Virginia for preserving the stone cairns and building trails for people to see and experience them. Well Done!

The Cairns Trail
Let me begin by saying that there is more to the Cairns Trail that meets the eye. Specifically, the vibe is positive to very positive in the area of the stone mounds.  Anyone familiar with my work is well aware how much credence and importance I place on the vibe, or imprints, or memories left at a place. They are a barometer that a location was used for sacred purposes. More importantly we have a potential to create a new birth with Mother Earth--an energy vortex, a water dome...---EARTH MAGIC!

Secondly, much of the mountainside that the Cairns Trail (areas C, D &E in the map below, in the upper center area) traverses is covered with stones marking energy formations such as Energy Lines. There are hundreds of such stones. All of this means that Stonewall is special and much of what was once there has been preserved. As a geomancer being able to dowse is critical to finding such stone formations and understanding what is going on. L-rods are an invaluable tool.

Right after entering the trail I came across this stone marking the intersection of 2 Energy Lines. You are facing downhill and the front of the stone has an upright shape to it.

My staffs do not do justice to all these stones marking an Energy Lines. You are facing downhill

Stone Mound. The front looks like a seat.

Sacred Sites Update--High Tor's Ledges Survey Continues

We were back surveying the Ledges at High Tor. We were joined by Helen Ellis and Joscelyn Godwin. Helen has been to the Ledges on several occasions before; It was Joscelyn's first.

Welcome Circle
Those of you familiar with my work know that I am a big advocate for having a Welcome Circle, or Welcome Area, at a sacred site. It acts like the entryway, or foyer, of your home. Like a foyer this is where you greet your guests, hang up your coat, take off your boots and prepare for your visit.

The function and purpose of a Welcome Circle is very similar.

  • Remove your spiritual debris/clutter. Instead of taking off your shoes, or dirty boots, as you do when you enter a house you smudge yourself, or have someone smudge you. Smudging is a cleansing process. It removes negative attachments, or thought forms, that might be clinging to you.
  • Offering. Janice Carr brought two flowers. One of which she left at the Welcome Circle as she said a prayer. She also spread tobacco and said a prayer as we stood around. An offering is a gesture of respect and reverence for a space. It helps put you in the proper state of mind for your upcoming experience. Bringing an offering will better help you act in a sacred manner when you are in the sacred space. An offering could be something simple as tobacco, a flower, a piece of fruit. It should be something simple and small and something that will not attract attention. For example, you don't want to put down tons of fruit which attracts deer which then get shot during hunting season.  It is not so much what you bring, but rather than you bring something.
  • Prayer. Within the Welcome Circle we held hands and formed a circle as I said a prayer.
  • Permission. Asking permission to enter a sacred space is always good idea. You are announcing your arrival and telling everyone in the unseen world in the immediate area, remember the veil is thin here, that you would like permission to enter.
  • Meditating. You should always meditate in a Welcome Circle if you have time. It helps raise the vibe of the space and hastens the formation of a natural vortex, or energy vortex. It also puts you in a contemplative mind and further removes any more negative thought forms you might have attached to your subtle body.
  • Developing a strong imprint, or samskara. Over time as people keep doing these actions the imprint, or samskara, gets stronger and stronger. So the effects of smudging gets more pronounced--the cleansing gets deeper and pulls off more and more attachments. Meditations get deeper and deeper. Over time as we have seen at the original Welcome Circle at Gossamer Woods, a natural vortex, or energy vortex forms. A powerful imprints particularly helps when people that are not reverent or don't have time enter the sacred site and don't bother to smudge. The imprint will automatically look to cleanse them and put them in a more contemplative mind.
From the left Janice Carr, Joselyn Godwin and Peter Shell with Pepper on his lap meditating in the Welcome Circle. You can see stones marking the boundary of the Welcome Circle.

More Intricate Stone Mounds
We continued working on the far end of the highest ledge where we had previously found the area to have a very thin veil with powerful imprints and numerous vortices.

The highest ledge of the Ledges abutted a steep embankment and ridge above. The challenge was to determine were there any stone mounds covering Earth Chakras.

Peter Shell climbed up the embankment. In the picture he is crouching looking to see if there are any stone mounds. Given the steepness of the embankment any stone mounds would have been belted with running rain water and stones over the centuries.

We found a few stone mounds, but lots and lots of stones marking Energy Lines.

Many of the stone mounds continued to be very intricate marking Earth Chakras and Energy Lines. In the pictures below staffs mark Energy Lines.

Sunken/Dimpled Center, or Decomposed Tree Stump
We found a stone mound, or better said, a large hole with several stones around it marking Energy Lines, it is pictured below. Was it created by people? Arguably it is a stretch to say it is a stone mound. But, our criteria was to include any stone structure covering Earth Chakras--and it does. The yellow tape breaking from the blue and white staff marks an Earth Chakra.

The standing staff shows the hole to be about 2 feet in depth.

What made the hole? Usually trees fall over and create earthen mounds; you would think the same would happen when a tree rots.

The second challenge was should the circle even be considered part of a stone mound? It is not close to the circle. Many stone mounds contained dimpled centers and were very thick to mark energy lines. So arguably this is a larger stone mound that had many stones removed by rushing rain water because it was at the base of the embankment.

These are some of the challenges we have faced on our survey.

A Great and Fun Day

We finished up the highest ledge--a big accomplishment. It was heartening to see our friends and have them share in our experience and to meditate in places. We thank them for that. Sacred Space like a muscle needs to be exercised lest it atrophies, and it does this through prayer/meditation/ceremony.

It looks like we will finish some time this fall--Famous Last Words.

All said it was a fun and great day.

Blessings,
madis

Space Matters--Cancer Clusters

We live in a sea of consciousness. Everything has consciousness; tables, cars, stones, blinders, clothing, chemicals, food. If this consciousness is negative (selfish), toxic...it will have a detrimental effect upon you--physically and spiritually.

Everything also retains imprints of what has transpired around it, call it karma. Ultimately everything has karma and whatever you are in close contact with will try and have its karma influence you. This is what I called circles, in Vortices and Spirals (Pages 32-34.)

This morning CBS Sunday morning had a segment on cancer clusters. That particular spaces, environmental areas are conducive to cancer. Not surprisingly industry and science make it difficult to prove. But cancer clusters are very, very real. WE call it geopathic stress.

Here is a link to see the CBS video:

YouTube Video Posted on Using Imprints to Verify a Sacred Site

In our survey of the Ledges Area last week we stopped to film a video about how imprints can be used in surveying a sacred site. We are in the process of cataloguing the stone structures at the Ledges Area of High Tor.

If you don't know much about imprints, or geographic samskaras, you may wish to view my video:
Thought Forms--Geographic Samskaras

Stone mound #12 has been well preserved and retains its dimpled center. In this video I explain how imprints can be used to verify our beliefs about its purpose.

It is an incredible demonstration of the workmanship ancient cultures; even though leaves block your view, much can be gleaned. This is part of a series of video's on our survey of the Ledges. Thanks to Peter Shell and Janice Carr for their help. REMEMBER IT'S ALL ABOUT THE VIBE!

Ledges Mound #7, Maintou Stone and Marked Energy Line Traced Out

A video of Ledges Area Survey, Stone Mound #7, has been posted on YouTube. We are in the process of cataloguing the stone structures at the Ledges Area of High Tor.

Because the Ledges Area contains numerous Earth Chakras, and the bulk of stone mounds are located over Earth Chakras you might wish to first see a short video I put together a few years back on Earth Chakras.

Earth Chakras--Vortexes of Energy Circulation

This video looks at stone mound #7 that is in fair condition. It marks two main Energy Lines one of which passes through a Manitou Stone, or upright stone buried in the earth. One Main Energy Lines contains 2 Earth Chakras and the 2 acompanying  offshoot Energy Lines perpendicular to it in the earth below. The other has 3 Earth Chakras and 3 offshoot energy Lines. In this video I trace out one of the marked main Energy Lines.

Dowsing Rods, L-Rods

At my talks I have mentioned dowsing rods and even given demonstrations using them. If you are going to become an Earth Healer, or wish to learn geomancy you will need to buy a pair of dowsing rods, or L-Rods. They are called L-Rods because they are in the shape of an "L."

Pendulums will not cut it. You need L-rods because they can guide you to locations, or aspects of Mother Earth by pointing in a specific direction; and when you get to the location of your query they will  indicate that you have arrived by opening up (or crossing, or swinging.) This is invaluable. Imagine how many questions you would have to ask with a pendulum to find a location of something like a Ley Line. Secondly, they can trace a formation of Mother Earth such as an Earth Chakra, or show you the directional angle of a Ley Line. For example, an accomplished Geomancer can hold an L-Rod in one hand over the intersection of several Ley Lines and have it rotate slowly and stop each time it gets to a Ley Line, thereby showing you its direction. They can also indicate the directional flow of an energy line.

Most importantly once you get good at using L-Rods you will develop a bond with them and they will begin to alert you things. For example, I may  be looking for a Ley Line and my rods will suddenly point in another direction, alerting me to something that might be of interest to me. Or they begin to move in a very distinct pattern notifying me that something particular is there. This might be something as simple as spinning around to tell me--"Hey There's A Vortex There." These are all movements unique to me and my rods that we have developed over the years. Call it something additional to a sixth sense, or your intuitive sense.

L-Rods can perform all the functions of a pendulum such as answering your questions. YES--they open up; NO.-- they cross. If you are interested in using them like a pendulum I suggest buying an expensive sensitive pair that will move freely in its sleeve and be sensitive to the slightest movement.

If you can afford it, I would buy two sets of L-Rods and keep one set in your car for when you run into things, or misplace your other pair. When I first started to dowse I was constantly searching for Ley Lines, or what I call Spirit Lines. Wherever I went I would search for them. If you want to become a good geomancer you need to dedicate yourself, at least initially, to developing your craft. MAKE IT YOUR FOCUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not let anyone else use your dowsing rods. I used to think it was okay to let others use my rods, but came to realize a bit of whomever touches your rods, stays on your rods. So treat them like your toothbrush.

When buying L-rods make sure that they have a sleeve around the portion you hold in your hands so that they can spin about freely. L-Rods look like a Right Angle (what  carpenters call a framing square)  when you hold the shorter part in your hands. Also make sure that the wire is not too flimsy or light, because they will bend. When they become misshaped they loose their balance. Although some folks have told me they like the light ones and don't mind that they get bent. Conversely super thick ones will be heavy to hold for long periods. You want something that will respond to your intention. Ultimately, if you become a good geomancer it won't matter as much; but it is always nice to have a sensitive pair of rods.

The Key is to buy one with a sleeve so it moves easily. The ability for such movement is critical for geomancy techniques such as finding vortex, or gauging Imprints (Land Imprints/Memories, Geographic Samskaras.)

Where to Buy L-Rods

The American Society of Dowsers has plenty to choose from: ASD Bookstore

Fisher Creek has a selection of higher end more expensive http://www.dowsingsite.com
(Note since post appeared Fisher Creek is no longer selling L-rods.)

Both Amazon and Ebay list sellers of L-Rods.

You may also wish to check a metaphysical store or Psychic Fair for rods.

Peacemaker's Sanctuary--More Amazing

We had a lovely meditation this morning at the Peacemaker's Sanctuary on Onondaga Lake; the Wednesday 10 AM meditations will continue into September.

Our goal today was to expand the size of the spiritual area; aka, expand the area of the positive vibe, or imprint. We meditated away from both bench areas.  We were blessed to increase the size, area covered, with a very positive, to extremely positive vibe. NICE!!!!!

It was also very illuminating

As I have harped on many times before, as we pray/meditate/ritual at a place we reinvigorate Mother Earth at that location. In the process She begins to reveal more and more of Herself.

Some pretty amazing things were revealed today:

More potent and rarefied forms of Fields of Consciousness(FOC.) Mother Earth's Soul is made up of Fields of Consciousness. They can range from a single FOC to as many as 12 FOC stacked (S12) upon each other. S12's are found in the heart os Mother Earth's Soul--The Utica-Syracuse--Rochester corridor. They are the pinnacle and rare. Onondaga Lake has the most and helps explain why so many consider it the holiest place in the world and why so many good things have been borne here. The Peacemaker's Sanctuary has them in spades.

We were pleasantly pleased to find a another series (3) of S12's after our meditation, just east of the old bench. Not only that, but this series of (3-S12's) is arguably connected to the other series making it a series of (6) S12's. WOW. The other side of Onondaga Lake (Willow Bay) is the only other place I have found this and possibly Muller Hill. Unfortunately, Willow Bay, as the Righteous Brother sang, has "lost that loving feeling", aka its vibe.

More proof, Peacemaker's Sanctuary was once a very sacred area .... even bigger than we thought. After we finished meditating we went out to investigate the vibe--the size of the overall imprint, new areas, pockets, etc.

We found several powerful pockets, not so much that they were that powerful, but rather they were significantly more positive, or more powerful, relative to their surrounding space.

In other words, imagine a large circle--give it a value of 10. Let's say there is a much smaller circle within the larger circle-give it a value of 50. The smaller circle with a value of 50 are like the pockets of positive vibe we found.

So?

These pockets are indicate that something good happened there. Most likely these are where  vortices once were, (For explanation see, Vortices and Spirals.)

I imagine numerous vortices will manifest in the Peacemaker's Sanctuary as we continue to pray there.

Another Vortex Ring near the original location, the new bench. Another vortex ring has appeared, or we found?. That makes 2 vortex rings straddle the original bench---Such vigor and spontaneity say that they were most likely vortexes before, and had deteriorated.

If we keep at it I imagine that both vortex rings will pop and give birth to actual vortexes this fall/winter. I may mark these vortex rings, as they would be great places to try and sense and feel Consciousness, let along leap frog your meditative ability and consciousness. Very sweet!

Placing stones would be a good marker to tell people where to pray/meditate.

My concern is that kids will throw the stones into the water, as they did with the stones we buried in the soil around the Tree of Peace that once stood in Willow Bay.

Some pictures follow. They do not do justice to the beautiful views of the lake.

peace,

madis

Weekly Meditation Wed 10AM Peacemaker's Sanctuary, Memorial Services

Weekly Meditation: Wednesday 10AM, Peacemaker’s Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake, West Shore Trail—Bring a chair/cushion--FREE

We will be gathering for a group meditation on Wednesday's at 10 AM, now through late September. Please bring along a chair, or cushion to sit on because bench space is limited.

The Peacemaker's Sanctuary is where my prayers were once answered to end the violence(high murder rate) in the city of Syracuse, as I note in a decade old review in my listing of sacred sites. It also contains a precious and intoxicating piece of Mother Earth's soul, and powerful imprints. This past year I have gotten insights/instructions/guidance while meditating there.

We see the Peacemaker's Sanctuary as a refuge for all. A place to seek solace and inspiration when troubled, to find healing when hurt, to be inspired and gain insight when overcome with despair, or doubt. We need your help to make this dream come true.

A sacred site needs to be continually replenished with the thoughts and love of pilgrims to stay vibrant and grow. By praying, mediating, performing ritual or just doing good things, or even thinking good thoughts you nourish a place. Those intentions are like sprinkles of water to a plant that over time turn it into a  tall tree. So please join us for a meditation, a memorial service; or just come by yourself, and pray, or meditate there.

We will be holding memorial prayer services after national tragedies at the Peacemaker's Sanctuary; 6 PM the day of, or the day after. So if there is a mass shooting, a terrorist event, or the like we will be gathering for prayer in a service led by local clergy. Times and dates will be posted on this webpage.

Directions: To get to the Peacemaker’s Sanctuary take Rt. 690 to State Fair Blvd, head towards Syracuse on State Fair Blvd. Take a left onto Beach Street, Empower Credit is on the corner. Follow to end park on grass.
Cross RR tracks and bear right and cross the bridge over Rt. 690. Take a left onto the gravel path. Within a 100 feet the dirt path will merge with an asphalt path from the right. Continue straight. Look for the first set of benches on your right 200-300 feet-this is the place.
The closest bench will say ‘Peacemaker’s Sanctuary’.

Benches Coming to the Peacemaker's Sanctuary

Our effort to have more benches in the Peacemaker's Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake is bearing fruit. Thanks to generous donations we have purchased our first bench from Onondaga Lake Park. They have a program where people can buy benches ($750) and have the plaque inscribed as they like. Most of the benches are inscribed in memory of a deceased loved one; ours is not.

Here is what the placard will say:
Peacemaker’s Sanctuary
A Place of Contemplation
Where Serenity and Hope Lives

Where someone once Prayed/Did Ceremony
While looking where to locate the bench we found something pretty incredible by the shore of Onondaga Lake. There is a large overflow duct that releases water from the other side of  the walkway just east of where the current bench is. I thought having benches on the other side of the overflow pipe would not be a good idea—feng shui teaches that features which separate like a two separate twins to make a king is bad, or in this case a a seasonal stream separating different areas would not be good. WRONG!

When I took out my dowsing rods they led me to the most heavenly place on the other side of the culvert from the bench. I had never even thought of looking there, but there is this little peninsula that juts out with reeds and huge trees. Sort of a hidden alcove, because the trail behind it (West Shore Trail) angles away creating a larger buffer with thick growth between the area we want the bench to be and the west shore trail. Visually pretty—more importantly a series (3) of 12 FOC's (Fields of Consciousness) stacked upon each other—Who knew. Twelve Fields stacked upon each other  are as high as it gets and Onondaga Lake has more than anyplace else; that is one of the reasons it is one of the most sacred places in the world.

But real surprise was the vibe. The area in front of a large multi-limbed tree is very positive to extremely positive. Let me repeat, a place at the shore of Onondaga Lake has a very positive to extremely positive vibe.WOW.

Let me put this in perspective. Onondaga Lake is one of the most polluted lakes in America. Toxic chemicals and pollutants are pervasive. The lake and the land has been raped and pillaged. Every time I go to the inner harbor, or the mall, my heads hurts and sometimes I even get nauseous. There are many other parts of the lake that are not nice. All of this pollution has a vibe, or consciousness, to it--Toxic and detrimental to your soul.

So, to find a place with a very positive, to extremely positive vibe, what you would find at a very holy place, is pretty incredible.

My Thesis
It is most likely that someone, or several people, used to pray, meditate or do ceremony there; at that exact spot. I say exact spot because the vibe diminishes the farther you move away from it. If it was a general area the vibe in the surrounding area would be positive.

What is also special about the location in front of the tree is that it is in the middle of what I call a series of stacked FOC's. When you get a stacked FOC, the highest stacked Fields within it come in a series of 3. It is is a stacked 12 (S 12) the highest there is. This spot is also the middle of the Field overall. So whoever prayed there knew what they were doing or sensed something special. The only people I know that has such knowledge is an ancient people I call the Spirit Keepers; but again it could be someone just felt the love of Mother Earth there.

We may also assume that the spiritual practices that led to the extremely positive vibe in front of tree took place a long time ago; at least hundreds, if not thousands of years ago. First, the trees around the area are old and the area seems to has been secluded for a long time. Secondly, it seems to have been a wet area for some time, so it would not be conducive to habitation. Finally, it may well be that a vortex was once there and that it has been dissipating for some time. I checked for a vortex ring a precursor to the formation, or the dissolution of vortex; but found none, only wishful thinking that there was one. The reason that I think a vortex may have once been there is because the vibe is so powerful; again a precursor to the formation of a vortex. And if a vortex was once there it would take a lot to dissolve it, because they are difficult to form and just as difficult to dissolve. So this is clearly a very old sacred site.

This was a real find and a joy to me. Finding vortices or special places like this is what I work and live for. Please read the beginning of Vortices and Spirals (pages 1-4) to better appreciate what I am talking about.

Let Us Pray
Let us pray and hope that the Onondaga County Parks people are able to place a bench in front of the tree. There was concern that the low elevation would not allow a stake be planted to secure the bench.

Please visit and pray/meditate/or do ceremony at the Peacemaker's Sanctuary.

Directions Take Rte 690 to the Lakeland/State Fair Blvd Exit. Head back towards Solvay Syracuse. At the Empower Credit Union Bldg take a left onto Beach Street. Follow till the end and park on the grass.

Cross the train tracks and the bridge over ret. 690. Take a left onto a gravel path that shortly converges with an asphalt path. In about a 100 yards on your left you will see a bench at the Peacemaker's sanctuary, look for the water flow pipe close by..

We need people to do the heavy lifting of praying and meditating there to raise the vibe of the area. Mother Earth needs humankind to achieve Her fullest potential and we need Her to achieve ours.

Please make a tax deductible donation so that we can buy more benches and make more improvements to sacred sites in North Star Country--Click on the donate button on the right. To learn more click on Donating.

We anticipate that the bench will be in place mid to late April.

Below are some pictures of the area. You can see the proposed site of the new bench in the second picture relative to the current bench, the X with the black circle. The large multi-limbed tree that we hope we can place a bench in front of is marked with pink tape.

Peace,

madis
