Large Manitou Stone At Gossamer Wood

I went to Gossamer Wood yesterday to mark the periphery of the grounds with yellow tape to further prevent hunters from trespassing. While walking the woods in the back I came across a really big Manitou Stone. It is covered with moss and has titled over. Manitou Stones, large flat stones, were originally placed upright in the earth.

Several of us gathered at Gossamer Wood in Canandaigua, NY for Earth Healing and cleaning up and opening up the space this July 4th Wednesday. We are looking to raise money to buy it and turn it into a sacred preserve for all to enjoy. 

Since Bill Dewey sold his house in January we have had to put in new trails,  refashion older ones and heal the ones damaged by the weather. We have also made a big effort to clean, expand and make the property more friendly and accessible for pilgrims. Much of this year will be spent to make the grounds more accessible--AND OF COURSE JACK UP THE ALREADY INCREDIBLE VIBE.

Wednesday was incredibly hot in the mid 90⚬'s I found some amazing things, from more energy vortices, sacred stones, more powerful features of Mother Earth...... I guess I should not be surprised...but more and more is being revealed.

Spirit Keeper's stone. Here I am standing next to a sacred stone, in front of me to the right--covered with moss. Looking at it seems like no big deal, however it marks the high point in a Field of Consciousness--an unbelievable Stacked 12 (S12.) An S12 is when 12 FOC's are placed upon each other; the highest formation and rare. 

Because of its placement strategically over the high point in the FOC one has to assume that it was intentionally placed there and whoever created it knew what they were doing.  I believe it was created by a mystical group very intimate with Mother Earth's subtle body that I call Spirit Keepers. Amazing. This was an incredible find and adds to the other S12 at Gossamer and has it moving closer to being in the rarified company of Onondaga Lake and its sacred space.

 I found a vortex ring close to the sacred stone on the S12 and decided to create a stone circle around it to act as a splint and nurse it back to health. (I discuss vortex rings on pages 52-56 of Vortices and Spirals.) A water vein also begins in this area. Another indication that prayer, meditation, ritual, healing and good and loving thoughts/acts occurred here. Thanks to the great souls that did this, we hope that we can honor your spirit by adding to it.

 Another Spirit Keepers stone. This one marks a S8. Another find--the stone and the FOC. There were also several Manitou Stones and other sacred stones in the area. That whole area  close to the creek is loaded with all sorts of wonders.

In the spirit and knowledge of the Spirit Keepers I marked the high point of all the FOC with large flat stones. It is my experience that they would at a minimum mark the high points with a stone, or stone mound; they would also place other stones in the area. I plan on adding more stones to this sacred area, hopefully several hundred more over the next few years.

We could use more meditators. If all you want to do is meditate for hours on end in such sacred space, please comment below and leave your contact information which I will take down after I contact you.

PS. People have been meditating in the energy vortex, what I call a natural vortex,  in the Spirit Keeper's Stone Circle and it has gotten even stronger. Kareen, Bill and I could feel it 10-15 feet away as we approached it. WOW!

Sacred Site Update---Gossamer Wood

Gossamer Wood in Canandaigua, NY continues to be closed and is only open for special events. We are in the process of raising money to purchase it and turn it into a sacred preserve for all to enjoy. You can donate to our effort at www.gossamerwood.org 

That said, we put in a new trail to connect the three trailheads on the property to make it easier for people to walk the trails in the future. On the following trail map the new trail cuts across close to the top. 

With the exception of one spot the new trail is about 30 feet from the border line of the property. We wanted to show respect to the new homeowners and believe that once leaves are up you will not be able to see the house. Several posted signs were put up to help ensure we don't violate their space.

A posted sign has been placed at the entryway on Cty Rte 28. We put several signs at the edge of the property. Several near the boundary line to tell people not to walk on the new homeowners property.

After crossing the bridge, which Bill Dewey built last fall (Well Done Bill), the trail scoots to the left.

Jaeda Bear is on the trail. It hugs the Spirit Keepers Circle which is on its left.  The Spirit Keepers circle is the largest stone circle at Gossamer and has a very positive to extremely positive vibe and contains a vortex. It sits on a stacked 12 Field of Consciousness. Very Nice!

When I walked around I found these old stones (from 10 years ago?) that were at the side of a tree. I moved them and others onto the trees close to a trail. Stones leaning on the side of a tree are always a good sign you are in a power spot.

Sacred Sites update Gossamer Wood, Keeper's Work

Yesterday a few of us gathered at Gossamer Wood for trail and Keeper's work. Here are some pictures

Peter and Mark standing by the drainage ditch Peter and I (Madis) dug. The overflow flooded  a big section of the northside of the property. As soon as we redirected the flow parts of the trail began drying. We hope this remedy works and keeps from soaking a section of the trail.

Looking upstream onto the farmer's field in the area of the cattails where the overflow begins from. Peter thinks there might be a spring there.

Mark spent the afternoon building a wooden walkway of logs he cut over a wet area near the Welcome Circle.

Brooke started marking a stone circle in the entryway area, but had to leave early because of her baby daughter.

Mark and I (Madis) finished the day working to heal the Tall Oaks area. Mark meditated in the vortex in the Spirit Keeper's stone circle.

Gossamer Wood Earth Healer's Gathering--Monday (4/30) between 11 AM and 5 PM

Note because of cold weather and snow we will be gathering on MONDAY 4/30/18

We will be gathering for Keepers work (spiritual cleaning, trail work, pickup, meditating….) at Gossamer Wood this MONDAY(4/30) at 11 AM. Please join us.

Remember you cannot park at the house. Please park at 2225 County Rte 28 Canandaigua  by the gas valves/fixtures and fence (see picture below.) Make sure to park close to each other so that we will be able to park 6-7 cars. We can move cars when people have to leave. You can also park on County Road 28, but do not straddle the white line. You can also park at Riser Rd if you are concerned about traffic.

I expect we will stay to around 5 PM. Come whenever you want between 11AM and 5 PM and stay as long as you want.

We gathered last Sunday and had a wonderful experience.

If  you are not interested in doing physical work and all you want to do is pray its okay. We don’t want to make people do what they don’t want to. We want to channel your interests and feed your knowledge.

Someone  will be visiting to plant some blue bells this week…. If anyone has access to yellow flag, or marsh marigolds (cowslip), or knows a farmer that has some please bring it to Gossamer.

TEntative plans Sunday—it will combine both physical work, earth healing and meditation.

• Continue to clean front area of trail
• make a stone circle in the entryway that people must walk through to enter Gossamer.
• Charge up the stone circle and meditate in it. This will be ongoing
• The Welcome circle had some deer hair and could use a boost of meditative love.
• Improve the drainage along the trail next to the field. Dig trenches.
• Chainsaw  trees that have fallen such as in the back
• Chainsaw—Cut up limbs into pieces to put on the trail in wet areas.
• Start the Earth Healing of the Tall Oaks
• Practice dowsing. Earth Healers need to learn how to dowse.
• We will also disscuss fund raising ideas and things to do as Gossamer. We will be having activities such as Forest Bathing, Group meditations/learning to sense our Mother, hand painting with elementals, energy healing sessions etc. at Gossamer. We want to raise some money, but more importantly get people involved so that they will tell others, who will tell others.. etc. A good experience at Gossamer can become contagious. if you have some ideas on things you would like to do speak up on Sunday.
• While many of the areas at Gossamer are marked we will marking those charged areas that are not.
• We may not get to all these, but at least we know what has to be done.

• Dowser’s L-Rods. If you don’t have a pair I will try and bring some along.   Instruction will be provided. We will be doing some dowsing.
• Seat Cushion to sit on,  You can get one at Dick’s has them on sale for $6.99 a steal. Gossamer Wood Purchase Price Set

Friends,

Bill Dewey has agreed to sell Gossamer Wood for $25,000, We estimate the cost to put in a parking area and other expenses to be about $5,000. So we need to raise $30,000. 

In April we will begin having tours, open house/grounds, group meditations and other events for you to experience first hand the wonder of Gossamer. There will be a minimum donation to partake in these events. The grounds will only be opened for these events. Otherwise the grounds are closed to the public at this time.

We will also formalize and set up a Friends of Gossamer Wood support group. They will be responsible for the physical and spiritual maintenance of the grounds. They will be Earth Healers and Keepers of the sacred preserve. Instruction will be provided. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our Mother and raise your consciousness while serving. It was doing Keepers work and mediating in power Fields of Consciousness that hastened my spiritual transformation and got me closer to our Mother. We have initiated our effort to purchase the grounds of Gossamer Wood Retreat Healing Center in Canandaigua, NY for our not for profit Jubilee Initiative and protect it for perpetuity. The old welcome circle. Over the years all the meditating, smudging and prayers done before entering caused an energy vortex to form. Magic!

The new Welcome Circle on the north side in the "Ancient Area." This is where you will enter and smudge yourself before entering.

One of many Manitou Stones on the grounds. This one marks the intersection of two Ley Lines in the "Ancient Area." All the Manitou Stones on the grounds are a pretty good indication that the Gossamer Grounds date back to at least the Early Woodland Period (1,000 BC to 0AD) if not earlier.

Kareen and Brooke sitting in what they have dubbed the "Women's Circle" if I memory is correct. It is located next to the main trail in the "Ancient Area" and not far from the new Welcome Circle. They kept telling me they felt such warmth and love there; Feminine Energy they called it. They were right as the next photo shows.

The black oval over the large stones in the "Women's Circle" mark a formation of Mother Earth. There are no other large boulders, or any other rocks of any size, close to this area. So the question were the stones welled up by Mother Earth or did an ancient Native American culture place them there? If the later, then it was done thousands of years ago as I discussed in an earlier post, Sacred Sites Update--Gossamer's Sacred Stones The water dome below the formation is a very good indication that much praying and ceremony took place at the "Women's Circle."

Gossamer Wood (Canandaigua, NY) Visit Tuesday

The weather forecast for Tuesday is sunny with a high in the low 50's. If you would like to go to Gossamer on Tuesday please email me. If enough people are interested we will go.

Gossamer Wood is listed on pages 325 to 323 of Sacred Sites in North Star Country. Come spring we will initiate an effort to purchase the 9 acres and turn it into a sacred preserve for all to enjoy.

The grounds of Gossamer are dedicated to Mother Earth, particularly to Fields of Consciousness (FOC.) The trail system meanders through FOC as high as S12 (the highest), other divine aspects of Mother Earth, healing places, a Spirit Keeper’s (pre Iroquois culture) site and numerous vortices. Hundreds of flat stones and stone structures, where people have prayed, or meditated, are located on the grounds to guide you to the ‘hot spots’, for lack of a better world. The vibe runs from very positive, to extremely positive. It is a very powerful place that will raise your consciousness and nourish your soul. It is one of the top places listed in Sacred Sites in North Star Country.

Sacred Sites Update--Gossamer's Sacred Stones

We are in the process of trying to turn Gossamer Wood Retreat Healing Center into a sacred preserve for all to enjoy. I am negotiating the terms with owner Bill Dewey; the price and how much time we will have to raise money before the he sells the land along with his house.

I went there with Tim Hart and joined others in trail work and cleaning. In anticipation of the land becoming part of a land trust we created a new trail with a separate entryway north of the house so that there would be access once the house sold. The trail connects to the existing trail system. 

Ancient Area

I refer to the new area as the Ancient Area because it is evident that it was a very sacred area at one time and those spiritual embers remain. The vibe is very positive and there are several stones and stone structures located in this new area. Stones that were strategically placed to tap into Mother Earth. We found a few more this past Saturday.

I was aware of a group of boulders along the trail, but it was only when Kareen and Brooke kept telling me how very powerful they felt it was that I investigated them.

They were right. The stones are located over an aspect of Mother Earth. Here are some pictures.

 Kareen and Brooke are seated on the larger stone. They said that they felt female energy and it felt good to be there, as if there mood had been elevated. And that certain parts seemed to be warm.

 The black etching is a rough approximation of the shape of the aspect of Mother Earth. I have seen similar, in fact one such one is located on one of the offshoots of the original trail system.  It appears to have something to do with feelings, mood and emotions. But, that could be just the way the energy feels and it could have another function.

Coincidence, or intentionally placed?

The question always is,  were the stones strategically located there, or was it Mother Earth that moved them.

Some feel that the placement of such stones is always because of glacial movements. Since learning of a stone bursting forth from within the earth in Eldbridge (Mother Earth Wells Up a Boulder at Sacred Site (Sikh) in Eldbridge, NY) I must consider that perhaps the stones did the same here, in response to spiritual activities; either directly above or close by. I think  this is a remote possibility.

Interestingly, since I made the post about the stone welling up at Eldbridge Joscelyn Godwin contacted me and told me about the mention of this phenonnon in the his book Upstate Cauldron: Eccentric Spiritual Movements in Early New York State (page 60) that folkloric belief was  that stones would be used to mark hidden treasure and they would well up on occasions.

The case for placement by people hinges on two factors.
1)The vibe which is very to extremely positive over the stones and less only  ten feet away. A positive vibe forms in response to good intentions, prayer, ceremony, altruism.
2) A water dome has also formed underneath the stones. A water dome is water that formed deep in the earth in response to prayer/cermonty/good acts and attempts to bubble up to surface but reaches a point where is blocked. It starts to expand creation an undergourn water pool. Eventually pressure builds and water veins (streams) break off.  This dome has 3 water veins.

Another Manitou Stone

There are several manitou stones, upright stones buried in the earth often marking Ley Lines or Energy Lines, found at Gossamer.

I found another one Saturday close to where the sacred boulders are located. It was not very big and had sunk into the earth and had begun to lean. But it was thin and had a gravestone like shape. It  marked the intersection of two Ley Lines--perpendicular to each other.

 The Manitou is located on the trail and is less than a foot tall and leans back. Kareen and Brooke are in the distance sitting on the large stones.

In the picture above my dowsing rods mark the trajectory of the Ley Lines. If the stone were a person one Ley Line would bisect the body directly head on, while the other would go though the shoulders. The key is that they are perpendicular to each other.

Earth Healing- at Gossamer Retreat & Hipp Brook's Ancient Boulders 11/19/16

WE had a fruitful day this past Saturday working on Gossamer Retreat and Healing Center (Canandaigua) and visiting Hipp Brook, which was an incredible experience as the pictures below tell.

We able to make 2 stone circles, lay down several prayer stones which we mediated on and completed much of the new trail on the north side of Gossamer.

 Above is the Welcome Circle we created at the north end of Gossamer on the new entry trail. We have mediated in the circle several times. the vibe is very positive.

 Above is another Manitou Stone, or Upright Stone embedded in the ground we found at Gossamer. It marks the intersection of several Spirit Lines.

 Above is the Spirit Keeper's circle we constructed. An oblong stone circle about 80-100 feet in diameter on the middle trail at Gossamer; in fact part of it covers the trail. Yes, Yes bad feng shui to have such an intersection--but it keeps the circle true and forces people to walk through it, as they walk the trail.

When we meditated on it 4 to 5 skeins of geese flew overhead from different angles, all intersectimg above us over the Spirit Keeper's Circle. We took it as a blessing and positive affirmation.



HIPP BROOK--WOW!
A SACRED SPIRIT KEEPER'S SITE?

By the time we got to Hipp Brook in Penfield (SE of Rochester)  it was raining pretty hard, the wind was blowing and the temp dropping ahead of the blizzard to come.

A map dowsing of Hipp Brook a few weeks earlier showed that a Field of Consciousness(FOC) (a stacked 6, S6) was located behind the bench on the trail. We had gotten permission to place a few flat prayer stones behind the bench as long as they were indistinguishable. I carried in four prayer stones. Since it is a marshy area, parts of the trail is on raised wooden planks. Hipp Brook is located in Penfield, one of the more affluent suburbs of Rochester. You will see houses in the background of several of the pictures.

When we got to the bench we found that there were stones already there: HUGE BOULDERS. 

Huge boulders which were strategically located over the Fields of Consciousness. The vibe was neutral at the periphery. Because we were so blissed out from Gossamer our sensitivity was diminished and we felt little.

Several dowsing measurements showed that a FOC was below the boulders.

• I dowsed a FOC (S6.)
• We dowsed out a nearby Originator and the Spirit Lines (Ley Lines) originating from them.

When we walked to the center of the FOC we found that the vibe was positive to very positive there. A positive indication.

Near the parking area there were boulders but not so connected to FOC. We also noticed several large stones on some of the houses in the neighborhood. WE assume that these had been moved by construction people.

Someone at the DEC said that the stones may have been placed by retreating glaciers. Possible. Although it is very odd to find such large boulders in a wet marshy area.

Given that the boulders appear to be placed over FOC I imagine it is the work of Spirit Keepers. I have never seen this before; usually it a few stones, a stone pile, an alignment of stones, etc.. Never boulders. But perhaps given the marshy area they choose to use such large stones. How did they move them?

I plan on going back in the next week to reexamine and verify my initial findings  when I am not so blissed out.
