Survey of Sacred Sites in Downstate NY, PART VI-- The Blue Orb (Observer) at The Church in the Woods

Whoever constructed the Church in the Woods knew about Mother Earth's Unseen Body and looked to work with Her, or enhance Her. There was also a mysterious guest there during our visit.

An elaborate effort was undertaken to mark an Energy Line.

 A line of stones have been placed on an Energy Line that is marked by my staffs. Notice the wall in the back.

Notice the triangular shaped hole in the stone wall that aligns with the Energy Line. Basically, someone decided to get fancy and give further emphasis to the Energy Line by creating a hole in the shape of a triangle to show where the Energy Line was.

Given the powerful Earth Energies and very positive vibe you would expect to see orbs in pictures

In the upper right hand side of the picture above there appears to be a white orb.

But there was another orb that Bill captured with his camera. A blue orb that does not appear to be a function of Earth Energies.

Bill took a picture of me while I was marking the Energy Line with my staffs. Notice a blue orb in the upper right hand side of the picture.

Here is a closeup where I cropped the picture.

WOW. That does not look like any orb that I have seen before. The rings make it look like a planet. It is definitely something from another realm. Amazing.

When Bill sent me the picture with the blue orb I sent it out to a few others to get their opinions. Fellow Earth Healer Janice Carr said it looked to be some sort of observer or watcher.

Here is what PMH Atwater had to say. PMH is a pioneer in the Near Death Experience world and is well respected for her insights.

"It has guardian energy in and around it, yet this form is quite alive and thinking.  It is taking in all that you are and what you want and what you’re doing. . . like an “I-Spy” entity.  You must have some Watchers around that it is feeding info to. I’ve seen these forms before when in Watcher territory."

She went on to say that they are all about business (observation) and report their findings to someone, but she does not know who.

We said a group prayer and headed back. I was pressed to get back to New Paltz to speak.

As I noted in the previous post I wished I would have had time to meditate. It is critical that you pray, meditate or do ceremony at such sacred sites to nourish them and keep them vibrant.

Again, I had concerns that writing about this place would attract curiosity seekers, ghost hunters, UFO hunters, or archaeologists whose activities and intentions damage sacred space and our Mother. But ultimately I need to show people what is possible when love, pray, giving, healing... occur at a sacred site.


My trip continued Saturday morning at Estelle Weed's woods behind her home. While there was no Church in the Woods there, I found  some great stone work and places with a positive, to very positive vibe. It just shows that people once had great reverence for Mother Earth and many places have weathered the millennia well.

Survey of Sacred Sites in Downstate NY, PART VII--Estelle Weed's Woods and its Many Stone Structures

Early on Saturday morning I had a chance to survey Estelle Weed's property. I had stayed at Estelle's Friday night. I met Estelle through Wayne May of Ancient America magazine. When I told Wayne that I was going to speak at the ASD (American Society of Dowsers) conference in New Paltz, NY he said I should contact Estelle who had been telling him about some structures on her property.

I contacted Estelle and told her I would gladly look at her property if she would be willing to let me crate my dogs at her place during my lecture at the conference. She said yes, but also said I could stay at her place. A refrain she continued with in subsequent conversations. Fortunately, I accepted her offer.

Why was I fortunate? Because her house has a positive vibe. As my connection to Mother Earth has deepened my aura has grown progressively larger and I have become increasingly sensitive to space. Public spaces, hotel beds where different people sleep for hours on end  can be very pernicious. I often carry bags of prayer stones with me when I travel to protect me from negative spaces and detrimental energies.

While Estelle's property did not have an large stone structures it was loaded with Manitou Stones; as either single stand alone or in groups. More importantly there were several large pockets with a positive VIBE. SWEET!

 A single stand alone Manitou Stone. Staffs mark the intersection of Energy Lines at the Manitou Stone. Notice how sunken the stone is, from millennia of debris accumulating and decaying around it.

 A grouping of stones that includes a Manitou. Staffs mark a few of the many Energy Lines that pass through the grouping. My sportswomen's cushion marks where I imagine pilgrims sat to soak up the energies.

 Wow. Check out that big Manitou. Notice the smaller Manitou to its left.

 Estelle is standing with her daughter Sandy. Estelle is a lively spiritual person. She had a Near Death Experience as a child and several other close calls later. She is very spry at 87. What little experience I have had with people that have had NDE's is that they are lovely live wires that beam. When I first met Estelle, even before we talked, I could sense that she was a very vibrant and loving person. 

Here I am.

There are hundreds of Manitou Stones and other stone structures on Estelle's property. I imagine many more have been covered up over the years from decayed leaves, dead trees and other debris.

So the question becomes; how many stone structures or single stones marking Earth Energies or aspects of Mother Earth's unseen body are out there in North America alone?

Tens of millions, hundreds of millions, billions....???????

Survey of Sacred Sites in Downstate NY, PART VIII--Shaupeneak Stone Mounds

Later that Saturday morning Sandy (Estelle's daughter) and her husband Mike took me to  Shaupeneak Ridge. Sandy wanted to show me some standing stones, but unfortunately we did not find them. 

While Sandy was a little bummed, I was tickled pink. Why? Because we found some incredible stone mounds with dimpled or hollowed out centers, or depressed areas. Most likely Middlesex focus, basically Adena like. They marked energy formations and were very reminiscent of what is at High Tor NYS Wildlife Management Area in Middlesex, NY. (See my Clarks Gully Blog for pics.)

We were really pressed for time because I had to speak in the early afternoon at the American Society of Dowsers Convention in New Paltz.

Mound 1 Was a large stone mound with two dimpled, or depressed areas.

 The stone mound covers Earth Chakras. The cushion gives perspective on the depth of the depressed areas.

 The other depressed or dimpled area.


Stone Mound 2. Had one large hollowed out or dimpled center. Within the depressed area was a large platform stone marking the intersection of numerous Energy Lines. I have never seen such a formation before. I have seen plenty of dimpled stone mounds and many platform stones by themselves, never before the two together. Amazing and I feel blessed to have found it.

 The platform stone is located between the staffs marking Energy Lines and my seat cushion.

We had to rush back so that I could change and drive to New Paltz college to give my talk. I hope to go back to Shaupeneak Ridge with Sandy and Mike to see the standing stones some time in the future. I did make it back in time for my talk that was well attended.

I left Estelle's about 5 pm and got back to Syracuse by 10pm. I even picked up Living Water in Lyle, NY.

It was a great trip. I certainly used my time well and surveyed and saw lots of sacred sites. What Fun. Thanks God. And thanks to Estelle for her company, generosity and good spirit. I feel so blessed.

Join us for a group meditation to celebrate the summer solstice and the beginning of summer at the Peacemaker's Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake, one of the holiest places in the world. It was at Onondaga Lake that the great Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) prophet  the Peacemaker planted Tree of Peace and gave us the Great Law of Peace upon which our country's democracy is founded on and which influenced the Women's movement.

Please bring a chair or cushion to sit on during the meditation. The two benches will be in use during the meditation. As with all outdoor activities we suggest you apply some insect repellent. It is always good to hydrate before a group meditation; so bring some water with you. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms close by. Directions are below

New Beginnings

The summer solstice is a time of new beginnings. So you might want to reflect upon new directions, or changes you would like to make in your life; or new activities or adventures you would like to take on. The meditation and the space of the Peacemaker's Sanctuary will help consecrate those beginnings. Several of us have had our prayers answered there, have found resolution and healing in its divine space, or gotten insights or epiphanies while in prayer/meditation there. IT IS A POWERFUL AND HEALING SACRED SPACE.

The Peacemaker's Sanctuary is a community gathering and healing space. We have held vigils there after national crisis's such as the Las Vegas shootings Vigil. We encourage you to visit by yourself.

I-90 Thruway--Exit 39, Take 690 East

I-81--Take 690 West

From 690- Take exit 5 (Van Vleck-State Fair Blvd.) Turn left onto State Fair Blvd going towards Lakeland (turn right if you are coming from 690 East.) About a 1/2 mile down take a left onto Beach Str. (an Empower bank is on the right.) Continue till end, turn left and park car on Iona street.

Corner of Beach and Iona Streets in Lakeland Cross the RR tracks and walk over the foot bridge and take a left. From the foot bridge it is about 150-200 yards to the Sanctuary. The cinder path will connect with a paved path, bear left. About a 100-200 feet on your right you will see a clearing with a bench and an overflow duct that gives the appearance of a stream. Total time 5 minutes from parking. Or take the long way, a 20-30 minute walk from parking lot for the John Haley Memorial trail- across from Long Branch Park.

Look for a bench that says "Peacemaker's Sanctuary."

Help Preserve the Stone Mounds at HIgh Tor NYS DEC WMA--Naples, NY (Canandaigua Lake)

Help us preserve the stone structures and maintain the vibe at High TOR NYS Wildlife Management Area in Middlesex (and the town of Naples) NY; at the southern end of Canandaigua Lake. Please contact the NYS DEC during their current public comment period and tell them to put added protections on the many stone mounds and standing stones there. See HighTor.org

High Tor NYS Wildlife Management Area is an ancient sacred site that needs to be preserved. Specifically its hundreds of stone mounds and thousands of standing stones--that are thousands of years old--need to have additional protections. The NYS DEC has opened up a public comment period about High Tor\'s future for the next ten years. Email them and tell them to put added protections on the stone mounds; preferably get them placed on the National Register of Historic Places. We also ask that you tell that activities should be limited in line with its history of being an ancient sacred site\--no logging, or other such activities that harm the flora or the fauna at High Tor.

Stonewall Jackson Park in West Virginia shows what is possible. They created a series of trails through their woods focused on the many stone mounds that are there, with names such as the Cairns Trail.

Peacemaker's Sanctuary Onondaga Lake Pictures of Visit with InterFaith Works

Before I left to go speak at the American Society of Dowsers Convention in New Paltz last week I took Gracious Moyo and Mark Briggs to Peacemaker's Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake. Gracious heads up outreach for InterFaith Works in Syracuse and Mark is a board member. We are looking for support from InterFaith Works  to raise awareness about the Peacemaker's Sanctuary and truly make it a gathering place, a sanctuary for our community.

Here are some pictures I took of our visit.

I will post pictures of my visit to the King's Stone Chamber in California Hill NYS DEC Forest and other sacred areas and stone structures I saw when I was at the convention.
