Technology Kills--Alexa, Smart Voice Boxes are another assault on your humanity and freedom

Judith Shulvitz in the latest issue of the Atlantic in Alexa, Should we Trust You? details how easily we can fall for smart voice boxes and the dangers they pose. "The voice revolution has only just begun. Today, Alexa is a humble servant. Very soon, she could be much more—a teacher, a therapist, a confidant, an informant."

Some key points from the article,

--By 2021, there will be almost as many personal-assistant bots on the planet as people.

--The company that succeeds in cornering the smart-speaker market will lock appliance manufacturers, app designers, and consumers into its ecosystem of devices and services, just as Microsoft tethered the personal-computer industry to its operating system in the 1990s.

--Shulvitz believes that smart boxes will be just as dramatic as telephones and computers in shaping society.

--When we converse with our personal assistants, we bring them closer to our own level.

--Once our electronic servants become emotionally savvy, they could wield a lot of power over us.
--Wait till AI is embedded that can read our emotional state in our voices and can learn our behavior to manipulate us.

Technology Kills--AI BOTS communicate with their own (hidden)Language

Back in December of 2015 I posted on the dangers of Artificial Intelligence (Technology Kills--What Tulpa’s Teach us about Artificial Intelligence (AI)) and compared AI to a Tulpa that cannot be controlled and takes on a life of its own. A Tulpa is a thought form that a sorcerer has given form to. In other words, it is an artificial elemental of sorts; a manmade being existing in the ethereal/energy world around us. 

AI is ultimately a Tulpa without form. The sorcerer constructing it are the scientists that created it. It like all other thought forms, entities, take on a life of its own.

I quoted the mystic Ms. David-Neel who studied with Tibetan mystics early in the 19th century. In her classic With Mystics and Magicians in Tibet she noted:

"Once the Tulpa is endowed with enough vitality to be capable of playing the part of a real being, it tends to free itself from the maker's control. This, say Tibetan occultists, happens nearly mechanically, just as the child, when his body is completed and able to live apart leaves its mother's womb. Sometimes the phantom becomes a rebellious son and one hears of uncanny struggles that have taken place between magicians and their creatures, the former being severely hurt or even killed by the latter." pages 308-313.

Unfortunately, with AI the danger is that it will not turn upon its scientist mother, but on society at large.

I mention this because it was reported today that Facebook bots communicated amongst themselves with a hidden language that they created. An article in Newsweek, HOW FACEBOOK’S AI BOTS LEARNED THEIR OWN LANGUAGE AND HOW TO LIE, noted such.

Regarding a simulation where humans communicated with BOT's Newsweek noted, "First of all, most of the humans in the practice sessions didn’t know they were chatting with bots. So the day of identity confusion between bots and people is already here."
"And then the bots started getting better deals as often as the human negotiators. To do that, the bots learned to lie. "This behavior was not programmed by the researchers,” Facebook wrote in a blog post, “but was discovered by the bot as a method for trying to achieve its goals.” Such a trait could get ugly, unless future bots are programmed with a moral compass."

"The bots ran afoul of their Facebook overlords when they started to make up their own language to do things faster"

"One Russian company, Tselina Data Lab, has been working on emotion-reading software that can detect when humans are lying, potentially giving bot negotiators an even bigger advantage. Imagine a bot that knows when you’re lying, but you’ll never know when it is lying."

The article concludes:"Put all of these negotiation-bot attributes together and you get a potential monster: a bot that can cut deals with no empathy for people, says whatever it takes to get what it wants, hacks language so no one is sure what it’s communicating and can’t be distinguished from a human being. If we’re not careful, a bot like that could rule the world."

WOW! Things are moving ahead much faster with AI than anyone expected. I would imagine the threats posed by AI will also be exceeded.

Technology Kills--What Tulpa’s Teach us about Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence(AI) has gotten a lot of media attention in the last few days. Bloomberg reported that 2015 Was a Breakout year for AI. Elon Musk of Tesla/Space and other note worthies have banded together to create Open AI with $ 1 billion in seed money. While Musk, a previous critic of AI has noble intentions with his new venture, to block the takeover of computers by Ai and provide information learned from AI to everyone, it is naïve—there is no way to control AI.

When I read the Bloomberg article I immediately thought of the mystic Alexandria David-Neel  comments on Tulpa(s.) A Tulpa is a thought form that a sorcerer has given form to. In other words, it is an artificial elemental of sorts; a manmade being existing in the ethereal/energy world around us.

There is no way of controlling a Tulpa as Ms. David-Neel pointed out in her classic With Mystics and Magicians in Tibet:

Such too will be the results of AI. There will be no controlling it and it too will contribute to our demise.

As I have been saying for years technology KILLS and looks to control humankind. The signs of the assault  are already visible, young people addicted to their cell phones and social media.....etc

To protect yourself you need to reduce technology in your life--get rid of your cell phone, reduce number of devices you own, go retro with your technologies...

And most of all get close to Mother Earth. See Her in the world and not the accoutrements of our modern day world. The closer and more connected you are to Her. the more you can absorb of her vital energies/essences/consciousness. Not only will this bring health benefits and consciousness raising, but it will help you distance yourself from technology and better help you survive any calamities that may befall us from technology. After all She is our Mother and provides us with our sustenance. Love Her!
