Technology Kills--CBS reports that computer tablets are damaging the brains of young children.

I believe as the great sages Shankara, Sri Aurobindo...taught that we live in a sea of consciousness. The world is nothing put the play of consciousness, because everything at it core is consciousness. Consciousness  has a morality, or call it an intention, associated with it that runs the continuum from being divine to being demonic ( Gita Chapter 16.) Everything lies along this continuum, like shades of grey; is it closer to being divine or demonic in nature?

As I explained in The Way Home technology's consciousness is negative in nature and lies closer to being demonic, than divine. The water wizard and environmentalist Viktor Schauberger taught, it (technology) "is based on destruction" and is not in harmony with, or works in cooperation with Mother Earth. He said it was a destructive force based upon explosion (rather than implosion) and  that it will lead to our destruction.

Technology damages humankind and Mother Earth in a multitude of ways, one of which CBS's Paula Poundstone reports in Electronics and Kids Brains Don't Mix.

The Line of Boulders at Heath Park

Today I went to do a survey of Bethany and Heath Park on Syracuse's south for my upcoming book Sacred Sites in North Star Country--both contain Fields of Consciousness. While in Heath Park I came a across a line of boulders of megalithic size.

I never noticed the stones before, but I do remember years ago finding some large boulders towards the end of Heath Park where it butts up against I-81.

I don't have a clue whats up with these stones. Did a farmer long ago use them to make a fence?  Or were they left there by a glacier? Or......

I took out my dowsing rods to see if there was some sort formation of Mother Earth is connected to the line of boulders.

Sure enough there is a powerful energy formation, an aspect of Mother Earth's Plane of Energy, Sri Aurobindo's Vital Plane there. My rods led me to a clearing in the line of boulders. Immediately when I stepped in the clearing I was zapped and felt powerful energy. In the picture below my dog Pepper is standing in  the aspect of Mother Earth. Notice how that area is a clearing in an area with lots of big stones.

I don't think that boulders are some ancient formation created to tap into the Energy Field there. What I do think though is, that it exerted influence on whomever created the line of boulders. Whether it be a glacier or the unconscious mind of those that created the line of boulders.

Much more research is needed. As well as contemplative time by the boulders to get some answers. I just thought it an interesting formation.

To find the boulders. Walking east away from South Salina Street stay on the right hand side (south.) After you cross the creek continue on the trail and just before the trail begins to climb look on your left side for the line of boulders.

Heath Park is the stand of conifers you see on I-81 just south of Syracuse's city center. It runs between South Salina and I-81 and between Conifer Drive and Richfield Ave.

Triangle of Stones & Mounds at South Hill (Hi Tor DEC Forest) in the Keepers Area

The Keepers Area of South Hill of Hi Tor State Forest has lots of stone structures, most are mounds located on aspects of Mother Earth's subtle body such as Earth Chakras, Ley Lines and other features in the Energy Plane. There are Fields of Consciousness.

One interesting feature is a triangle of large stones, shown below.

I have been in the Keepers area dozens of times over the last ten years and never paid much attention to it, even though the stones are large. We all wondered whether there was something to it.

There was. The three stone mounds mark three Ley Lines, or put differently they are connected by three Ley Lines. The black lines in the photo below show the Ley Lines.
Perhaps there is something else to the formation, or that it serves some other purpose. Was it designed to have  people sit in the triangle?

I point this out to say that what appears trivial, or insignificant may have a higher purpose. We have become so disconnected from Mother Earth that we fail to see Her as ancient cultures did and much is lost to us--even those looking for stone structures.

Below are a few more pictures from our trips, one shows an orb taken by Jan Woodworth.

Sacred Site Listing Changes

Please be aware several of the sites listed on Places of Prayer in Mother in Mother Earth's Soul are no longer accessible, or open to the public.  So please check with the location before visiting.

The following are few of the changes:
Spirit House in Georgetown NY is in private hands.

Poland's Nature Preserve in Poland NY; The Nature preserve was  donated to the Poland School system specifically for use as a public space. They decided to sell the land. When I spoke to the business manager he told they contacted the family of the deceased school employee to get approval.  I don't understand how this is possible; land donated for a specific purpose, public use--SOLD?.

The Peacemakers' Sanctuary at Onondaga Lake; the bench has been removed and the space has  become overgrown.  It is still accessible, while the vortex has unfortunately dissipated the space still has an incredible vibe. ENJOY.
I am trying to get the space physically refurbished.

The Tree of Peace at Onondaga Lake: the stones surrounding where the Tree of Peace was planted have been removed.

My book Sacred Sites in North Star Country due out spring of 2016 will have an expanded and up to date listing of sacred sites in the heart of Mother Earth's Soul.

So please check before visiting sites, particularly those not on public lands.

Transcending Time--Published Summer of 2014 American Society of Dowsers Digest

Transcending Time
By Madis Senner
The following is from Vortices and Spirals; Unlocking the Mystery of Our Dynamic Relationship with Mother Earth due out 2015.
We have a dynamic and vital relationship with Mother Earth that goes far beyond the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. Mother Earth nourishes us with a host of energies and essences that few know about let alone understand. She even nurtures our soul.
We also have a special bond with Mother Earth whereby we can co-create with her a new birth that benefits both her and humankind. One such bond is one I hold very dear--what dowsers call an energy vortex. Energy vortices are powerfully transformative, healing, and have a unique way of transcending time by connecting us to people in the past. To better understand this I would like to share with you an experience I had one summer.
My years of meditating in the woods have made me sentient of Mother Earth and sensitive to the thought forms that cling to the land. Unfortunately much of the Earth is blanketed with negative thought forms that can give me a headache. When I left my home in upstate New York to speak at a conference in Vermont this particular summer, it did not take more than thirty minutes of driving on the New York State Thruway before my head began to hurt. Fortunately, when I arrived in Vermont I was able to find a campsite that was not cluttered with negative thoughts.

The vibe at the conference center of this large ski resort was bad. After spending all day there I did not feel well so I decided to go for a hike and meditate in the woods. My intuition told me there was a particularly nice place nearby so I decided to use my dowsing rods to direct me. As I began climbing, my dowsing rods pointed to my right hand side--indicating my meditation location was in that direction. When I reached the ridge trail connecting several peaks, my rods pointed to the left, indicating I should take the trail.  Then they immediately returned to pointing to the right. When I climbed a small peak my rods went totally perpendicular. I followed my rods and turned right and walked off the trail, now my rods were pointing straight ahead. I continued walking until they opened up (180’) at a small semi-clearing near the edge of a steep drop off. This was the place I had been looking for.
I sensed there was something special about the place as it felt so good to be there. Indeed my dowsing rods indicated a positive energy vortex had formed in this spot as they spun around in a clockwise manner. This is called an energy vortex because energy spins around in a whirlpool-like pattern. Energy usually travels in straight lines, so vortices are something unique. I call them natural vortices because they form naturally in cooperation with Mother Earth from praying, meditating, selfless acts and positive intentions.
What may have once been a clearing with a spectacular view was now overgrown and blocked by several large trees. I surmised it was the once majestic view that attracted people to this mountaintop spot. Given the size of the trees, I estimated the vortex had formed at least a few hundreds years ago, and was created by the prayer and or ceremony of Native Americans. The vortex could have been much older and been reinvigorated by the continual praying of generations of Native Americans. There was no way of knowing for sure.
What mattered more than who created the vortex or its age, was it was very powerful. As soon as I began to meditate within it I could feel my subtle body being purged of the negative thought forms I had picked up the last few days. As I got deeper into trance I began to sense a variety of new and different sensations beyond my normal experiences during meditation. Seemingly, my soul was glowing and being nourished by the energy vortex. I was connecting with the vibe and being of those who helped form this wonderful vortex. That is the beauty of a natural vortex, it transcends time and carries forward the consciousness, intentions and aspirations of all those who helped create it.
I stayed there for forty-five minutes and would have remained longer if evening was not about to descend. Before I left I gave heartfelt blessings and thanks to those who had worked with Mother Earth to create such a divine structure. My meditation buoyed me for my talk the next day as well as the trip home.
During my morning meditation at home on Monday I realized how much I had been blessed by my experience on the mountaintop. Instead of having to work through the mental debris I normally acquire after traveling, I went immediately deep into trance. Because my subtle body and consciousness had been stretched in different ways, I felt fuller and more complete.
Natural vortices are like mother’s milk. Science tells us we build up immunity by being breast fed by our mother when we are young. Similarly, when we meditate in a natural vortex, we are fortified by the consciousness, thoughts and intentions of those who created it. Clearly my mountaintop meditation had nourished me with things I needed or lacked.
Some of my most powerful spiritual experiences have been within vortices at sacred spaces in the woods and in hidden and out of the way places. By meditating in one you will be gaining from the years of effort and experience of those who helped create it. In many ways you will be transcending time when you fuse with consciousness of those who created the vortex.

So get out your L-rods and begin exploring Mother Earth and sacred sites in your area. You should also consider visiting a local place of worship or a meditation center where people pray and meditate on a regular basis. Such places often have natural vortices form because of all the meditating done at them. Chances are you may find a natural vortex and if so sit down and meditate in it and be connected to the essence of those that helped create it. It will be a powerfully transformative experience.

Review of Vortices and Spirals from The American Society of Dowsers Digest

Vortices and Spirals: Unlocking the Mystery
Of Our Dynamic Relationship with Mother Earth
Madis Senner
Mother Earth Press, Syracuse, NY: 2015
                     ISBN 978-0-9908744-0-9
                     $19.95
                     Available at the ASD Bookstore,
                     and online at www.dowsers.org

Reviewer: Suzanne S. Kotcher

This paperback edition of Madis Senner’s newest book contains 11 chapters (148 pages) of text with 25 helpful illustrations, plus 37 pages of Chapter Notes, Appendix, Glossary, 6 pages of Bibliography and an Index.

The author grew up in Syracuse, NY, but spent 21 years in New York City – most of that time working on Wall Street – before returning to the Syracuse area.  In the summer of 2002, after conducting prayer ceremonies around Onondaga Lake, he met dowser David Yarrow, who taught him about ley (energy) lines and how to dowse for them. Madis' specialty and emphasis is on Mother Earth and her subtle body (energy fields).  He dowses for the Earth's chakras, ley lines, vortices, and what he calls Fields of Consciousness where many ley lines intersect, and shares his knowledge in Vortices and Spirals.

I find this book to be very interesting, informative and easy to read.  I particularly enjoy the way Madis explains clearly, offers many examples and proceeds in a step-by-step manner.  He starts with an explanation of an energy vortex and the use of dowsing tools, particularly L-rods.  From there he moves to consciousness and how our thoughts are the most elemental vortices, which can culminate in complex energy vortices.  He describes energy vortices and spirals in great detail – what they are, how they are formed and their relationship to and formation in Mother Earth.  Madis also discusses samskaras, imprints, talismans and pranas.

Madis describes how these energetic phenomena affect humanity and the Earth.  Included is how prana from natural vortices relates to healing ability and well-being.  He also discusses negative vortices and how they are detrimental to health and well-being.  Towards the end, Madis details how to dowse for vortices, how to create our own, and how we can work with the energy from vortices and our dynamic relationship with Mother Earth.

This book is an excellent reference for all energy workers or dowsers.  It can also be informative for those who just want to know more about Mother Earth and her amazing attributes.

Madis Senner has been associated with the Finger Lakes Dowsers in the Syracuse area since 2006.  He has been a presenter at ASD Conventions several times and has written numerous articles for the ASD Digest over the years.  In 2011, he gave a talk at the Annual Convention and set up a field exhibit of earth chakras, plotting them out with tape. In 2014, Madis started a publishing business, Mother Earth Press.  He is now focused on marketing and writing more books.  (See his article,      on page   )

Suzanne Kotcher, currently the President of the Finger Lakes Chapter of ASD in Syracuse, NY, is a Special Education Teacher, Dowser, Marconics I & II Practitioner, Reiki Master and Practitioner, avid reader and Spiritual Seeker.
