Using Dowsing to Connect to Mother Earth: Geomancy and Sacred Sites
Author Madis Senner, will lead a discussion on Geomancy and Sacred sites and how dowsing can improve your connection to Mother Earth and hasten your spiritual transformation.  "There is something unique to the land that fosters transformation."  Learn about this, and where to go to tap into it, to elevate your consciousness, or make a better world.

Madis believes that there is nothing harmful or detrimental about Mother Earth. He looks to shatter falsehoods and myths that surround our Mother, such as that the intersection of 3 water veins is detrimental to your health-it may be, but it has nothing to do with our Mother as Madis will explain. Madis has been sleeping over the intersection of 4 water veins (pictured below) for 20 years and he is not dead and has never had cancer as the naysayers would have you believe.  Mother Earth is our Mother and nurtures and loves us, there is nothing negative about Her.

Madis will talk about his Ley Line Project to bring legitimacy to dowsing.  See more
Madis is a former money manager turned seeker. He has been scouring greater New York State for Sacred Sites for over 15 years.  He is a Keeper (watches over, maintains and spiritually enhances) for several sacred sites. He is a member of the ASD and Finger Lakes Dowsers and has presented at the conference on several occasions.  Madis is the author of Sacred Sites in North Star CountryVortices and Spiralsand The Way Home: Making Heaven on Earth, available through the ASD Bookstore.

He has written numerous articles for the ASD Digest, Wisdom Magazine, the New York Times, and others.  You can read his musings at:

Technology KIlls-- Apple's Investors Urge it to Do Something about Childhood Addiction to Phones

One of the things I learned as a money manager is that sometimes you get early in on a trend, other times you are the tail. One trend that I have been on early  is that technology is incredibly destructive to humanity, to all of creation and to Mother Earth. Fortunately I have been seeing a rise in awareness about the dangers of technology..

Just last week Apple investors chided the iPhone manufacturer and said that it must do more to prevent children from getting addicted to their phones.
"We have reviewed the evidence and we believe there is a clear need for Apple to offer parents more choices and tools to help them ensure that young consumers are using your products in an optimal manner," wrote the shareholders, Jana Partners LLC and the California State Teachers' Retirement System.

I have posted on this blog on several occassions how addictive cell phones are and how they make us less empathic, anxious and less human. You may be interested in reading, Here's the evidence Apple shareholders used to show that smartphones are addictive for kids

Some such as CCNBC's Cramer  have less of a conscience and think that Apple has no responsibility for its phones causing addiction. Sad.

Onslaught continues
While it is heartening to see some becoming aware about the damage technology does and doing something about it, technology continues to grow at leaps and bounds and is finding news ways of infecting us.

Dr. Oz did a program on digital pills last week watch the video,Sneak Peek: What Is the New Digital Pill?

Technology kills

Who we are
Earth Healers looks to educate about our dynamic relationship with Mother Earth. To teach how to connect with Her and how to heal Her, through hands on experience.

Our goal is to help people become stewards of the Earth. To empower them so that they have the knowledge to discern injuries and abuses done to our Mother Earth and how to heal them. Hopefully to become Keepers and watch over a particular place.

We are always interested in learning from others that love our Mother and how they approach and work with Her. If you are interested in speaking to our group, or want to suggest someone with a unique approach please email us motherearthprayers(at)

Given the surging MeToo Movement we are particularly interested in hearing from an Ecofeminist who believes that the struggle for Women's Rights is tied the struggle for Environmental Justice and saving our Mother.

Matilda Joslyn Gage Opera

An Opera about  Matilda Joslyn Gage, "Pushed Aside: Reclaiming Gage" will be performed Sunday January 21 at 4PM in the Carrier Center at Civic center. Gage's home  in Fayetteville, NY sits on a Field of Consciousness and is listed as a sacred site in Sacred Sites in North Star Country: Places in Greater New York State (PA,OH,NJ,CT,MA,VT,ONT) That Changed the World, page 190-192.

The Opera tells the story of how, Gage, one of the leaders of the Women's Movement was pushed aside and written off in history by Susan B. Anthony. Here is what I wrote about that in Sacred Sites:
It was Gage and Elizabeth Cady Stanton who penned the Women’s Declaration of Rights that Susan Anthony read at the July 4, 1876 centennial celebration in Philadelphia before 150,000 people. Gage, Stanton and Anthony collaborated to write the History of Woman’s Suffrage; which unfortunately Gage was never properly recognized for, especially as she did at least half, if not more of the writing. Anthony bought out the other two, and with the help of Ida Harper wrote another three volumes up to the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment. Unfortunately Gage was written out of the fourth volume and Anthony placed herself as the leader of the movement.
The divide between Anthony and Gage grew with the merger of National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA) and American Woman Suffrage Association (AWSA) a much smaller organization. Gage was against the merger with conservative AWSA focused strictly on voting rights, and not freeing women from oppression at home, and by the church, state and capitalism. Anthony was able to push through the merger by seizing control of NWSA’s executive committee when chairman Gage was absent.  Gage would create the Woman’s National Liberal Union. Page 191

Clearly the the Opera's title, Pushed Aside, hits the nail on the head on how Gage was written out of history.

Here is the promo on the Opera:

The world premiere of the opera, "Pushed Aside: Reclaiming Gage," is set for 4pm Sunday, January 21 at the Carrier Theater, Civic Center, Syracuse, N.Y. Witness the story of Matilda Joslyn Gage, the lesser known third member of the "triumvirate" of early women's suffragists -- the other two being Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. This opera tells how they came together in the early 1850's, then had their great split in 1890, resulting in Matilda being "pushed aside," and right out of the history books. Along the way, we also discover how Matilda fought for others who had been "pushed aside," including African-Americans and Native Americans, and how she came to believe that all freedom struggles are equal and interconnected.
The libretto by Gabrielle Vehar brings to life a pivotal period in CNY history, dramatically chronicling Mrs. Gage's significant contributions during the first third of this 3-generation battle for equal rights for women. This fully-staged production with orchestra is made possible in part with funds from the Central New York Community Foundation.
Tickets are $15 adults, $12 students/seniors. Tickets for the show can be purchased by calling the Society at 315-251-1151.
The Society for New Music commissioned Ithaca-based composer Persis Parshall Vehar to write this opera, with funds from NYS REDC. How many cities the size of Syracuse can boast of a world premiere of an opera created by a regional composer about a regional heroine and brought to life by regional performers?

Raw Water, Spring Water Living Water

The New York Times reported at the end of last year in Unfiltered Fervor: The Rush to Get Off the Water Grid that Raw Water is the new rage in Silicon Valley. A host of articles about this the last few days piqued my interest:
Prices of dangerous 'raw water' are skyrocketing as Silicon Valley'slatest trend flies off the shelves
What to know about the “raw water”trend

Why the Raw Water Movement Is So Obnoxious

I am a proponent of Living Water and have been drinking spring water for over a year and have found a noticeable difference in my health.

The Times said,
At Rainbow Grocery, a cooperative in this city’s Mission District, one brand of water is so popular that it’s often out of stock. But one recent evening, there was a glittering rack of it: glass orbs containing 2.5 gallons of what is billed as “raw water” — unfiltered, untreated, unsterilized spring water, $36.99 each and $14.99 per refill, bottled and marketed by a small company called Live Water.
The Times noted that some call it the “water consciousness movement.” The desire for raw water  has become an entrepreneurial  boom with numerous upstarts looking to make a killing.  One company in particular Zero Mass Water has created a hydro panel that can make water from sunlight and air. THIS IS DEAD WATER. AVOID IT.

The article correctly points out that water can pick up lead in pipes and that water treatment facilities kill beneficial bacteria.

The founder of Live Water, Mukhande Singh, "believes that public water has been poisoned. “Tap water? You’re drinking toilet water with birth control drugs in them,” he said. “Chloramine, and on top of that they’re putting in fluoride."

The Times compares the raw water movement to the anti-vaccine movement. Noting that untreated water can cause illness, parasites and other harms.

The NY Times did not mention what dowsers call Living Water. Nor did  it point out the other benefits of Living Water such as containing the Life Force. Or how water retains a memory of all that it has experienced; and if this includes sewage, water treatment, being in a polluted area, etc.  that can have a detrimental affect on your health.

ASD Geomancy Group to Form

I will be forming a Geomancy group within the American Society of Dowsers. You have to become a member of the ASD if you want to participate. Membership to the ASD is $50 a year.

There will be an ASD conference call about this January 16.

Group activities for the Geomancy Group will consist of:

  • Conference Calls
  • Group Exchange--Yahoo Groups, or more likely Facebook. This group will be limited to members of the Geomancy Group within the ASD. You can ask questions, or just be a fly on the wall and learn from others queries. I will post items periodically on interesting findings. This is a great way to become a better dowser and learn about Mother Earth. I am looking to fashion this group exchange after a very informative dowsing list serve I was on years ago. We will learn from each other and because membership is limited and focused you are not barraged by spam. My experiences, as well as for others, was phenomenal. I learned a lot from beloved ASD member Joe Smith (dancing pendulums)and Nigel Percy that has gone on to form a very successful dowsing business, discovering dowsing. I am sure they learned from me.

I will post more information about this in the next week or so.

Participating in this group would be a good way to learn more about dowsing and Mother Earth.

PS Membership to the ASD includes receiving the quarterly newsletter and discounts on the conference.
