From High Tor Area

A few weeks back I had a chance to survey on private property close to High Tor NYS Wildlife Management Area at the southern end of Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. My Clarks Gully Blog is focused on the stone and aspects of Mother Earth found at High Tor.

Please contact the DEC during their current comment period to ask for additional protections be put in place for the stone mounds at High Tor. To learn more,
Email the DEC, R8.UMP

Here are some pictures

A trio of Manitou Stones that have begun tilting over the millennia. This is the first time that I have ever seen such a conglomeration of Large Manitou Stones. I regularly find groupings of small Manitou Stones.

One of the Manitou Stones was still standing fairly well.
