Local NPR Station WAER doing a series for Black History Month

Syracuse's NPR affiliate WAER radio 88.3 will be doing a series of short segments on noted Underground Railroad sites in upstate NY. It is an idea that I pitched them and I plan on being included, as they visit places and interview people.

I am hoping that this develops more into a larger series as other noted places across NYS are visited and expands beyond the UGRR to include Women's Rights, Spirituality, etc...

The program will cover The Jerry Rescue and Jermain Loguen in Syracuse, the Abolitionist Hall of Fame and the Gerrit Smith Estate in Peterboro, the UGRR in Oswego, the Starr Clark Tin Shop in Mexico and the Howland Stone Store in Sherwood.
